it was relatively early. best day of my life, OU demolished texas during the day and then Aramis hit a grand slam and the cubs wailed on the marlins. both seasons went downhill from there. Someone's thinking of game 4 of the NLCS Game 4 of the NLCS had to be like a 6 pm start.
The AL is getting higher priority for TBS. My guess is because the ALCS is on TBS this year, and TBS wants to showcase those teams in the first round to get better ratings for the ALCS.
This just in-Major League baseball has banned the Rays from postseason play so the Yankees can have postseason play the last year of Yankee Stadium. I was kinda hoping that the Yankees could win their last 6 and the Red Sox lose their last 6 so they could play a 1 game playoff at Yankee Stadium
Twins killing the White Sox (twins will sweep this series) Brewers still losing to the Pirates. And the Yankees are officially out of contention for a playoff spot for the first time since the end of the 1993 season
They beat us tonight on a bunch of flukey hits off our 6th starter, who before that pitched 4 dominating innings, and then teed off on a bunch of pitchers who would be in AAA right now. Oh and our offense, who was sitting 3 regulars managed 7 hits and 2 walks off of one of the best 3 pitchers in the NL. This after our number 5 starter had 5 RBIs off of them and pitched 7 innings to beat them last night We would roll over the Mets. But then again, they might play a little better against us if they made the playoffs and they finally were able to take their hands off their necks.
Twins are just teeing off on the White Sox, now 6-1. I told everyone the Sox would not dominate this series. The Metrodome is the house of horrors for the Sox, and the South Siders are not nearly the team on the road as they are at home.
101 thru 7. He'll pitch at least 8 and possibly go into the 9th. Good job by him to conserve pitches. 50 through 3, and then 50 more the next 4 innings.
You may not know this, not being a Cub fan and all, but the Cubs recently came back from a 6-2 deficit in the 9th inning. Johan will still probably be pitching. Yeah if there was ever a time to stretch him out it would be today. He's at around 90 pitches though. Would they let him throw 130 pitches with a 4 run lead?

He's given up a perfectly place lazy pop up, A perfectly placed slow grounder, and 2 hard hit grounders. If he loses his playoff spot to Bob ---SOAPDROPPING--- Howry over this I'm gonna lose it. Yeah, and its his second performance in 3 weeks.
It was a slugging bunt (fake bunt, pull back swing) that broke Santana's bat, Marshall just missed grabbing it, but it went past him and slow rolled towards 2B, but at the same time the head of Santana's bad kept rolling and actually passed the ball. The ball then struck the bat and flew back into the air.
