  1. Nope, but it would be nice to see him get one in the 90s at least once.
  2. 3 straight in the dirt....he cant seem to find his release point
  3. Micah with his best Bill Buckner impression
  4. Wait...Freddi Gonzalez....you mean Freddi Gonzalez, manager of the Marlins? The Marlins who are out of the race and have nothing rest their players for?
  5. I think we can win with this lineup and Harden on the mound. Lets do it!
  6. Yup... Terrace Reserved OF
  7. Anyone else have pictures of Ted Lilly dancing in their heads? Seriously? Outside of that one HR in the playoffs, Ted Lilly shows less emotion (on and off the field) than any other player in history. If you're lucky you'll get a 1 second grimace, but I think that's more him stretching his face muscles. So I'm not sure if you were joking or not. I've seen him hop up in the air in a few of his HRs given up this year.
  8. Haven't heard anything about him other than he was playing with the US Selects team that scrimmaged a few times with Team USA right before the Olympics. He hit the game winning shot in one of the games, which is cool.
  9. I just want to know if Z has regressed as a pitcher since 2004-2006 when he was clearly at his peak. People saw the numbers he put up those years, and when they see him have entire months with 8+ ERAs, and see him go into August with an ERA in the 2.80 range and then implode, they try to come up with reasons for his slump. A key reason would be an injury that has shelved him two separate times this year, both times he was noticed to have dropped his arm angle. Now he could just be dropping it on his own for whatever reason, but its a pretty decent explanation that he is hurting and dropping the arm to avoid the pain while still throwing 90+
  10. One thing I also wonder as well.... game 3 is on Saturday, which is 10 days away.... Assuming his shoulder is really bothering him, and thats why he's been dropping his arm angles down again, is it possible to give him another cortisone shot and have him ready for game 3? I really feel like the Cubs rushed him back too early from his shoulder tendonitis, and the reason he was so successful in the no hitter is because of that cortisone. But then again, please tear me apart if I'm wrong, because I admittedly don't know much about how a cortisone shot works. I was under the belief that it is an anti-inflammatory and 'numbs' the injury causing the pain to go away. Anyways, can he conceivably get a cortisone, and still have time to throw a side and be prepared for his playoff start?
  11. You've given up? I figured I'd waste my last hour at work hopelessly hitting F5 since I have nothing else to do today. Can't believe I missed it... I got some for Game 5. Have been constantly clicking on Game 1 and Game 2 and not getting anything. I think (at least at this moment) all the tickets that were available are gone.
  12. For the SoCal fans that are banking on the Dodgers playing the Cubs, I am pulling up tickets to the games at Dodger Stadium
  13. So you think that Z's inconsistent performance is because he's just not a good pitcher? Does any other pitcher appear more visibly rattled than Z when things aren't going well? I think people expect the world out of Z because he has proven that he's damn good. He had a sub-3 ERA in 2004, and some other really good seasons. In early August, he had a sub-3.00 ERA. Of course I am assuming a lot of his bad performances is the fact that his shoulder is hurting him and he's trying to pitch through it (which would explain his arm angle dropping), but you are almost calling fans racist and telling them to tip their cap to the hitter, because they are trying to explain why such a talented pitcher goes through such inconsistent periods.
  14. I can't pull up anything. I think Mizzou bought them all :(
  15. Lucky bastard. I cant even pull up anything
  16. Also funny to note, I am now occasionally getting into the VWR when I try to get into the ticket system.
  17. My coworker just bought a ticket for game 1............. I cant pull anything up though, I've been trying for 20 mins
  18. I just bought tickets in the 200 level and also pulled up pairs in the 500 level again....looks like they released more tickets.
  19. KPet is the new god of NSBB 538 row 4 :) Exactly where I wanted. I get in the park and I save money for later rounds
  20. Out of curiosity...what if the following scenario occurs Today's game gets rained out and pushed back to Monday if necessary The Astros sweep the Braves, and the Mets get swept by the Braves. Also the Brewers get swept by the Cubs (and lose against the Pirates tonight), making the standings like this: Mets -- Astros -- Brewers 0.5 How does the MLB decide which Cubs makeup game gets played first (Astros or Mets)? Do the Astros go first because their game was postponed first?
  21. Where is that from? I'm assuming that one or two of the smarter posters on whatever forum that is jumped all over that. http://www.metsrefugees.com, it's probably the largest Mets community I can find, but the quality of posting is rather poor. It is like the "dodger blues" board for the Mets.
