  1. It's funny watching these scrubs play D. This is what it would be like to have the Pirates.
  2. I hope that's the case. His control is shot.
  3. I think Rich is scared to pitch to Wright. His 3 ABs, 11 balls, 3 strikes
  4. Koyie Hill has absolutely sucked since that one game in Cinci.
  5. It took Harden 37 less pitches to get through 5 than last time out )
  6. According to the reports, Harden wasn't the same pitcher right when he got him (in July). This is Rich Harden. His velocity varies from start to start. He's generally very good either way. Really? I've never heard that his velocity varies from start to start... No, he's right. I've heard that several times from several places.... including Rich himself. He's a weird specimen Can he control it? Or does he just wake up one day unable to throw 90?
  7. But still much better than any other NL team's rotation. Agreed. But then you factor in the fact that we have no idea which Z we are getting... I'm actually not that concerned with Z. His stuff looked really good last night, the ump just got in his head. I think he's going to prove that he is a big game pitcher. I guess I should have watched the game then. All I saw were the results, and the reports that his arm slot was again dropping.

  10. All I'm saying is that this isn't the same pitcher we saw in July. Whether its by design or not, this is true. He might be fine pitching to contact like he's apparently doing, but he's not going to be the same dominating pitcher we thought we got when we traded for him. People always talk about the Cubs having the "secret sauce" for playoff success. We need Rich Harden to be throwing 93-94 and striking people out. Otherwise, our rotation looks a lot more shaky.
  11. And now we can't fall back on his number to say he's pitching well.
  12. He ran to first faster than the fastballs he's firing.
  13. It's been weird watching this entire series from the eyes of a team that is playing meaningless games. I keep seeing the Mets get big hits, and they are pumping their fists and getting excited, and I have to remind myself that the Mets are still battling for a playoff spot.
  14. As long as he can decieve hitters with his changeup, he could be throwing 55 and 48 and still be dominant. Exactly! And not to make excuses but wasn't the gametime temp in the high 50's/ low 60's. He could be concerned with not loosing up and taking it easy in the early going. Is he going to do that in October? I'm assuming not.
  15. I'm looking at the weather for next week....looks like we'll be having playoff weather for Games 1 and 2. 60/49 on Wednesday and 61/48 on Thursday.
  16. Awesome, I didn't realize Pedro is going for his 100th career loss tonight.
  17. I've never heard of a pitcher that routinely dials back his fastball 8-10 MPH on purpose. It could happen, but I've never heard of it.
  18. Jim needs to hit 1 more HR so we can get our 6th 20 HR guy
  19. Micah: Please include me on your postseason roster. Dump the fat dude.
