  1. Well Raisin, you probably didn't want to be, but you were right. You were completely right. UCLA didn't look at all comfortable against the 1-3-1. Duke seems to be a more rounded team at this point in the season, they should handle Michigan easily. It's just nice to get a win over a top 5 team after the crap that was the football season. Edit: BTW, the name Jrue is probably the coolest name ever. It replaces D'Brickashaw as my favorite first name of all time.
  2. Isn't that like the exact same thing they said about Alexi Ramirez last year?
  3. I don't think he'll care much about losing a spring training game to the Cubs.
  4. I'd rather have Aldridge, Hawes, and junk than Rose, Thomas, and Noah. You're crazy. Rose >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Aldridge and Hawes. What hurts is Roy, one of the most underrated players in the league IMO and All Star for many years to come. Lemarcus I see as a 17 10 guy long term, with one or two ASG appearances. Hawes is crap and wll be hurt again in 3...2.... Yeah Aldridge and Hawes at best have potential to be maybe 7.5-8. Rose has the potential to be a 10. Hell, he's like an 8 now.
  5. Actually, it is at Allstate for 2 weeks prior to moving to the UC for 2 weeks.
  6. From MLBTR 4-6 months from today is between March 20th - May 20th
  7. I don't think predicting a World Series as any affect on the season. Let them predict whatever they want.
  8. There are reports that Cuban has been out of the bidding for weeks though.
  9. I'm assuming you didn't see the game. The Bulls set basketball back 10 years with that performance.
  10. We went 3-3 one year (I think 05-06). That was mildly competitive.
  11. Wow, Bulls trailing by 43 points. I've watched most of this game, and this is one of the worst performances that I've EVER seen.
  12. Nope not at all, but you'd expect a little better effort than this. The Blazers are good but we should be able to stay on the floor with them. Portland was one of two teams the Bulls could have beaten on this roadtrip. Now all that's left is Golden State. Portland scared me a lot more than the current incarnation of the Spurs. But Portland is young enough to let you back in games. The Spurs won't do that, even with Ginobli out. We can beat SA. Offensively, they are absolutely dreadful without Parker and Ginobli
  13. Imagine if Skiles was coach and he heard that. Skiles would change something: he would give him no time or 5 minutes of game time. It already happened. His name was Tim Thomas.
  14. It's a lot of things: 1. Skiles lost the team, and no one has gotten them to respond like he did. 2. Team started playing for themselves more then as a team 3. The east has gotten much better 4. They got worse defensively (one example, Wallace to Gooden....as bad as Wallace was, Gooden is an embarassingly bad interior defender) The first 3 are all coaching. Clearly NBA guys are coachable (as illustrated by many other teams), but the Bulls have hired a string of sub-par guys post-Jackson. It's also pretty clear that teams don't win in the NBA without a superstar, and the Bulls haven't had one in a decade I thought Skiles was an alright coach, especially for a young team that was still coachable. He was never the coach to take us to the next level, and I think Pax sensed that and canned him when the time was right. However, knowing the team the Bulls have (athletically speaking) and seeing how the Knicks have done so far this season, the Bulls would be 100 times better this season if they had landed D'Antoni. I still can't believe we didn't get him.
  15. So is there no shot for Ball State to get a BCS Bowl? I think that any team that goes undefeated should be guaranteed a BCS Bowl. This is stupid, a few years ago I thought that if there an undefeated team out there, they should be guaranteed to play in the National Title Game, unless there are already 2 undefeated teams from major conferences, but I gave up on that...now all I want is a big time bowl game for them. I found a good proposal for a college football playoff. 8 team playoff. Participants are: 6 major conference champions, and then 2 wild cards from 2 other smaller conference champs (determined by BCS standings). I thought this was perfect because: A) it rewards conference champs B) there is no argument about at large teams that deserve to get in. If you win your conference you have a shot.
  16. Nope not at all, but you'd expect a little better effort than this. The Blazers are good but we should be able to stay on the floor with them. Obviously they're playing like crap. I don't understand how that justifies a bunch of reactionary nonsense, though. But you understand why Cubs game threads produce a lot of reactionary nonsense right?

  19. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Shut the hell up you waste of life.
  20. You obviously weren't around for the Corey Benjamin, Calvin Booth, and Rusty LaRue years. This is reaching epic levels of frustration ETA: I'd keep Rose out for almost the entire second half. He's gotten big minutes this season and will need to cut that down a bit. No need to keep him out there when the team is playing like Howry. Leave Hughes, Hunter, Thabo, Gray, and Gooden out there for the second half. I'd keep him in long enough to hopefully get 10 points so he can keep his streak going.
  21. You obviously weren't around for the Corey Benjamin, Calvin Booth, and Rusty LaRue years. Yeah, perhaps you forgot the game where WE SET THE RECORD FOR LEAST POINTS EVER IN AN NBA GAME (49). That wasn't even the worst game. The worst game was MJ's first game back in Chicago for the Wizards. The score ended up being like 75-61 or something like that. I was just an embarassing atrocious game.
  22. Since this game sucks.. Some people might remember a while back I posted an email I wrote to blog creator of the website http://heylarryhughespleasestoptakingsomanybadshots.com/ . Well he finally got around to reading it and even posted it on his blog because he loved it so much. Check it out, its the first entry.
