    Doubt it. Even after this series, I can't see any team with cap space offering him more than $10m/year. And there are only like 3 teams with cap space out there.

    I have a feeling that Ramirez and Marmol will be back tomorrow. Lee by the end of the week. I honestly have no idea when Bradley will be back. I cannot believe that Koyie Hill hasn't played in 2 weeks.

    Yeah, April Cubs game vs. dominant pitcher with crappy lineup vs. Blackhawks potential series clinching game is a no brainer.

    Isn't it bizarre that 19 games into the season and the Cubs will have faced a right handed starter in 18 of those first 19 games, before facing Doug Davis on Wednesday? I think part of are hitting issues are due to all the right handers, despite all that was said about the Cubs balancing out their lineup.

    Come on Hawks! Lets get the first Chicago playoff round win since April 2007 (Bulls over Heat). Here are the Chicago playoff round wins this decade: 2000 - None (White Sox lost to Seattle) 2001 - None (Bears lost to Philadelphia) 2002 - None (Blackhawks lost to St. Louis) 2003 - Cubs beat Atlanta (Cubs lost to Florida) 2004 - None (No Chicago playoff teams) 2005 - White Sox beat Boston, White Sox beat Los Angeles, White Sox beat Houston (Bulls lost to Washington, Bears lost to Carolina) 2006 - Bears beat Seattle, Bears beat New Orleans (Bulls lost to Miami, Bears lost to Indianapolis) 2007 - Bulls beat Miami (Cubs lost to Arizona, Bulls lost to Detroit) 2008 - None (Cubs lost to Los Angeles, White Sox lost to Tampa Bay) So in the entire decade, Chicago has had only 7 playoff series wins. Let's make it 8 tonight Hawks!

    One play in games 1 and 4 and it's 4-0 Celtics. Yup, but thats what happens when 3 of the 4 games went down to the very last seconds. Any of those games could have gone the other way.

    So our new lineup is Soriano, LF Theriot, SS Fukudome, RF Hoffpauir, 1B Johnson, CF Fontenot 2B Soto, C Miles, 2B Harden, P Wow...I am going to love if this injury is a D2D injury. Are they seriously going to let Koyie Hill and Joey Gathright be the only hitters on the bench?

    Maybe our team should stop hitting doubles, since it seems like all of our players get hurt running them out.

    It figures, the Cubs start to hit well after there is already nothing left to play for this season.

    On offense we need someone who can back up 3B/SS/2B and we need to improve the bench. Basically we need Mark DeRosa, but since he isn't out there who else fits that description. For pitching, we obviously need some pen help, and it would help for it to be a lefty. Actually a lefty and a righty would be nice. Other than that we are fine. Lee will come around. He'll never be 2005 Lee or even 2007 Lee, but I think we'll end up getting .280/.350/.470 out of him, which is fine because we supposedly have plus offense at other positions. Soto will come around, he may not put up last years numbers but he'll be fine.

    You do realize his last 2 seasons he had a really bad elbow injury that allowed him to play but not at 100%? His numbers may have been even better the last 2 years had he been 100%, especially the power numbers. And he missed like 4 weeks in 2007 with an oblique injury and 2 weeks last year with an injury I forgot.

    I don't buy momentum in a series where the home team has won all the games. What is it they say? It isn't a series until the home team loses a game.

    With the Cardinals playing as well as they are, I'll take a split of the 6 games. We'll make up the other games later in the season. Go Cubs!
