  1. I was so upset he didn't score...and then I realized he is hurt and it got worse. Any chance Koyie actuall gets the run home?
  2. Time to bring in DeRosa. Yeah I know that joke has been made 500 times.
  3. I wonder if last years awesomeness at fielding was fluke. I feel like the defense has caused an abnormal number of bad plays that favor the opponent this week. I could never understand why this team was rated so highly in defensive metrics last year. I have heard a lot of people mention a likely regression for this years team. I am not saying we will have a bad d.. Just an average one.
  4. Not sure if this is the best place to put this, but the weather looks crappy on Opening Day tomorrow. Skilling is saying it might be postponed or at least delayed for a bit.
  5. What National channels are the first round games usually on? I am on vacation from the 18th-23rd in the Keys, and I don't think they have CSN-Chicago there. I highly doubt they have VS. as well. This sucks...ESPN needs to get the rights again. I am probably going to have to miss the first 1-2 Bulls games as well. Blah..
  6. I don't care about this...actually I think it's pretty cool.
  7. After a deflating game on Friday and an energizing finish on Saturday, the Cubs and Brewers meet in the rubber match of this series on Sunday Night Baseball. Hopefully this will be a quick game so that the Cubs can get home and rest before the home opener on Monday. Go Cubs!
  8. What a Game. Brewers fans are deflated. They keep saying kevin gregg or something. Will post tomorrows thread when I get home. iPhone battery almost dead. Go cubs.
  9. And he's going to Opening Day now too... #-o Sorry guys! I'll have u know I'm 5-1 lifetime at miller park. Brewers fans are annoying. One just called me a sex offender for some reason.
  10. Oh hell no. This sucks Oh and the Heat gave their fans the freaking t-shirts you cheap jerks.
  11. so we made the playoffs and locked in our seed and reached 100 points. Looks like we have a couple meaningless games against the Wings.
  12. Charlotte lost tonight meaning the Bulls officially clinched a playoff spot! Also Philly and Miami both lost, leaving the Bulls 1 gb Philly for the 6 seed and 2 gb Miami for the 5 seed. Unfortunately Detroit won leaving them tied with the Bulls for the 7/8 seed.
  13. Kinda sad that Gregg was on the hill for both of the Cubs losses this year and during his other appearance, he gave up a run.
  14. I sorta agree. I don't think they'd be able to turn 2, but I do think that it was possible to turn the 2. There was no chance to get the runner at home. Lou put them in double play depth for a reason. Not so they could field it and throw him. If he wanted Ryan to throw home, he would have ordered the IF to play in.
  15. I said that. Soriano should have caught that ball Weeks hit. He broke inwards, making it impossible for him to get back and catch the ball. He is a huge goat in the game, because if he catches that, theres a runner on 1st and 2 outs with Hart coming up. A lot of what-ifs in this one.
  16. The problem is, fans live in the now. They don't look at the big picture, they just look at whats happening right now, and if something isn't working right now, they want it fixed. If we could all only calm down and look at the bigger picture, which part of it is...its been 4 games!!...we would all be better off. But since we don't, we see Lee slumping and we want to DFA him or something. Lee's been bad for more than 4 games though. Lee's been bad since about month 3 last year. Lee is a real concern. True, but Lou made the decision to start the year hitting 3rd, so I think he deserves the opportunity to prove that last year was just a prolonged slump and not a sign that he is declining as a player. And 4 games isn't enough time to determine that.
  17. BTW, this day can be a lot happier if the Hawks can gain a point to secure the 4 seed, and if Charlotte can lose to clinch a playoff spot for the Bulls.

  19. Dude, every team that wins on a walkoff celebrates like that. Especially when you are trailing to start the inning. And it was their home opener. Give it a rest.
  20. Don't forget Soriano for breaking in at first on that ball by Weeks. I'm pretty sure he has that if he judges the ball better off the bat and runs the correct route to the ball.
  21. Oh yeah, I just watched the replay on Comcast...Soriano broke IN on that ball hit by Weeks. Otherwise, he catches that ball. He is a pretty big goat as well. But then again that goes back to Lou for pulling Fukudome of all people over Soriano defensively. Seriously...when a ball is scalded like the one Weeks is...how can your first reaction be to break in? It reminds me of that game against St. Louis last year when he went in on two hits like that and blew the game because of it.
  22. Well he's replacing the beloved Kerry Wood, so that's strike one. He's not as good as our closer last year, the aforementioned Wood, strike 2. And he's pitched pretty bad in an admittedly small sample size so far this year. Strike 3, we hate you.
  23. The only reason I'm pissed off that we lost is because it slightly takes the wind out of my sails for tomorrow's game, which I'm going to. Last year I thought the world was over when Wood blew that save in May against Milwaukee. This year, I saw how many games we had no business winning and won. Oh, it also sucks that I can't go to brewerfan.net and see their reactions to a loss.
  24. Only one that you can definitely pin on him and that was the one in the first. The others just aided runs scoring. I honestly don't think Ryan turns the DP if he goes that route, but that doesn't mean that he shouldnt have attempted it. That's why he's in DP depth. If Lou brought the IF in, then you go home. Then again, if the IF is in, that ball gets through the IF into the OF.
