  1. Derrek Lee hit a home run? What next, Ryan Theriot hits one?
  2. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo bored. These is no emotion in this game. The Cubs players look lifeless as if they just gave up and will give it another try tomorrow.
  3. Gah...not that we were going to come back anyways but..
  4. Gotta tip your cap to Marquis....he's a first half pitcher and he's done a great job against the Cubs today.
  5. In over 200 more Ab's it wouldnt have been very hard for Theriots OBP to drop down those 50 points. Kind of skewing it saying it was much much better. Also considering the age Cedeno was when he reached the majors for a large majority of those sporadic at bats. Oh come on...its very unlikely that his OBP is going to drop 50 points in 200 PA. He would have to get on base less than 21 times in a span of 236 plate appearances to drop to Cedeno's level. Please tell me you are kidding.
  6. I thought that was gone. Nice piece of hitting Hoff. Soriano can make it 4-3 here :)
  7. First hard hit ball all game for the Cubs and its right to a fielder.
  8. Neither is great, but give me the guy that has more upside, plays better defense, hits for more power, and doesnt cost 2.5 million for 2 year. How does Cedeno have more upside? He may be younger but he has shown no ability to be any better of a hitter than he was the first few years of his career.
  9. We could use some of those 19 baserunners from Monday today. We only drove in 4 of them, so we should have some left over.
  10. Jeez can't buy a baserunner And as I say that Lee singles.
  11. That was more than a few years ago..I want to say 1999 Yep... http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN199905050.shtml
  12. Looks like we'll lead the league yet again.
  13. I thought Ellis Burks was park of that...or was that a few years later?
  14. That was more than a few years ago..I want to say 1999
  15. You guys act like Marquis has never pitched a good game in his life or at least during his 2 years with the Cubs. He obviously is familiar with the park. It helps that the wind i blowing in. And he also obviously has some motivation pitching against the team that traded him.
  16. Good thing Soriano already got a hit for the Cubs.
  17. Harden is not going to stay in...with Bradley and Ramirez out he's just burning an AB
  18. The blown call by the ump was a ground out. Well yes but it wasn't officially a groundout, it was a hit. But valid point.
  19. LOL, the only non-strikeout out that Harden got was Reed Johnson throwing out Ianetta at third. He literally got no groundouts or flyouts. Does that mean his BABIP today was 1.000?
  20. Hurry up Harden. Comcast needs to earn their sponsor's money sometime soon.
  21. It's possible the Rockies aren't chasing any of his pitches. Everyone says he is on, and supposedly he's hitting his spots. When a pitcher of Harden's caliber is doing those things, its really really hard to lay off pitches like he's throwing.
  22. 75 pitches through 2 1/3 IP. He might make it out of the inning, but expect a new pitcher in there before the top of the 4th.
  23. Are we forgetting that certain game vs. Colorado in May of 2008? That felt like one of those days too... The wind was blowing out HARD that day. Today the wind is blowing in HARD.
  24. The Cubs hate Jackie Robinson. It's the only explanation.
