  1. Because they've already invested $18 million a year for the next 5 seasons on a left fielder.
  2. It might have something to do with his left hand bothering him. I think Len was just saying something about it. edit: ;)
  3. That works, nice work Z. It's pretty sad how the Cubs offense has conditioned my emotions. I was already getting worked up about not scoring this inning after there was only 1 out.
  4. I thought a grounder to the right side would get the job done Bob. Son of a...this is how it starts.
  5. Just get 1 this inning. That's all I'm hoping for out of you guys.
  6. There you go Font. Too bad we have Hill, Z, and Soriano coming up, and Z hasn't been hitting well lately, nor does he seem like a great situational hitter.
  7. Yeah but Z has an unfortunate history of beaning people intentionally. I wish it was objective, but it's not.
  8. Fielder is so fat, it takes 2 hit batters to make up for hitting him once.
  9. This will encourage Lou to double his hit and run calls
  10. Strike 1 on Bradley = Ball 4 on Hart
  11. Soup is dealing today. Either that or the Cubs are reverting to the Cubs.
  12. 13 pitch inning for Z to pitch to 7 batters?
  13. That's pretty painful to get the 2 outs and then have Zambrano lose his control and walk a run in. Worse than a seeing eye single even.
  14. It's Corey "I can't walk to save my life" Hart getting walked with the bases loaded!
  15. I'd hate to see a 2 out, 35 bounce grounder through the left side now...
  16. And you wouldn't have posted this if Soriano was 2-2 today That's his point though. How likely was he to go 2-2? Much less likely than 0-2.
  17. Sweet we have those pesky Cubs right where we want them. Oh wait that's right those are the Brewers...uh oh.
  18. If Fuld had led off, Lee would have gotten a hit. Damn you Lou, its completely your fault Lee struck out.
  19. I think Hoffpauir is a perfect bat off the bench now that he's proven he can come in to pinch hit and produce. His .730s OPS doesn't really impress me as a corner OF.
  20. Derrek Lee is on pace for this season... .285/.363/.502 33 HR 112 RBI (only) 28 2Bs
