Yep we’re all stupid. Every night I think “I’ll just skip the next few games” but then inevitably I’ll check the score and it’s always like 0-0 or 1-0 or whatever and I get sucked in if I’m at home. It’s Charlie Brown with the football every time -

9-14 in May now. I originally thought there was no way this team could play worse than they did last May but if they go 1-4 in their next 5 games they will ant least equal last years 10-18 mark. 10-17 since April 27th as well

I don’t get this. Down 1 and you pinch hit for Wisdom with Busch knowing Gomes is on deck? Why?? fake edit: and then he PH madrigal with 2 outs. Make this make sense. I know Wisdom isn’t great against righties but that still makes no sense

Busch has a hard enough time hitting high fastballs, now he’s gotta worry about getting rung up on pitches 3 inches above the zone

If the Cubs don’t get their horsefeathers together like overnight they could find themselves way out of the division race by Thursday. Yes giving up on an entire 4 game series before it starts is ridiculous, and I’m not actually lol, but man with how this team is playing, it’s a possibility.

The Cubs now lead the MLB in most outs on the bases this year (25), most outs committed at 2B this year (9), most outs committed at home this year (9), 4th most outs committed at 1B this year (4) Theyre doing a decent job of avoiding committing outs at 3B this year though, just 15th in the league.

Omg this team is such a horsefeathers mess. ANOTHER out on the bases. Yes maybe he shouldn’t have been called out, but he was still horsefeathers picked off of 2nd base. Unbelievable

It was the bottom of the 8th inning on May 17th by Miguel Amaya. The HR brought the Cubs to within 8 runs of the Pirates. The last non-garbage time HR hit was on May 16th by Ian Happ to cut the Pirates lead to 2-1 in a game the Cubs lost 5-4. Good times

I hear ya. I wasn’t very optimistic last June after we finished up a 12-26 stretch. Not to say that bouncing back from 9 games under .500 is the norm, and i recognize that we ultimately failed to make the playoffs last year. Just saying it’s a long ass season and the last 11 games will be a faint memory by September. I can’t see this team just completely cratering. That said, this team is absolutely not worth our time or attention right now.
