    Pro Bowl

They aren't showing the reserves getting introduced on the broadcast, but they did show Johnny Knox getting introduced by himself (the reserves are all getting introduced by team, guess Briggs isn't there) on their way to commercial.

    Pro Bowl

You know what? I was against this Pro Bowl on the bye week before the SB idea the whole time. But now that it's actually here I kind of like knowing there is actually going to be some sort of NFL game during this 2 week stretch. I'll probably watch a bit especially now that at least 1 Bear is in there although his role is likely to be limited. I'm almost positive that if you get voted on the team as a ST you still sometimes play your regular position. I am pretty sure I remember Hester playing CB in the Pro Bowl as a rookie and Ayanbadejo playing some LB when he was on the team as well. I'd expect to see Knox take at least a couple snaps at WR.
  3. Geez San Jose wins every game they play except against us. Another convincing victory tonight for them. It's tough to keep pace with a team that has taken 36 of their last 42 available points (17-2-2 in last 19 games). The Hawks have taken 27 of their last 42 (13-5-1) which is still a pretty good clip and we've done nothing but lose ground to them, blah.
  4. partially? yeah partially. No I don't really think they are likely to lose in the first round but now that the goaltending isn't holding up like it had in the past (and to a lesser extent the defense) the thought seems marginally more possible than it was.
  5. And yes partially overreacting bc of this likely inexcusable loss that's pissing me off
  6. well that's dumb Why? Top seeds fall in the first round all the time. All it takes is a Huet collapse or two and our backs are to the wall. How many games can we win when our goalie is giving up 3-4 goals every other game like Huet has been?
  7. GetHet us a goalie please. I can't see us getting out of the first round with this goaltending.
  8. Or not. Right through the wickets
  9. Right now the Hawks are playing like the sharks did at the start of the 3rd period when everyone knew it was a matter of when they scored to tie it up.
  10. Finally! Take that refs. Hopefully that deflates the Canes and they go into the "it's happening again" losing mentality.
  11. Wow quick whistle kills Hawks.
  12. completely dominated Carolina that period and had a ton of great chances but the ledger is going to end up even for the period. I'll be pretty upset if we drop this. There is no excuse for losing to the worst team in hockey.
  13. SoN of a bitch. How the [expletive] are we losing to Carolina.
  14. Crappy way to end the period. I'm not worried really bc it's Carolina but they need to play better. Carolina looked like the better team the first half of the period and that's not good. The Hawks were pushing the puck up the ice too much early on trying to start fast breaks and it didn't lead to a lot of chances. I think the Hawks thought they could outskate the Caines and pick up quick scores and it hasn't worked out so far.
  15. According to Sportscenter, the Bulls are the first team in NBA history to win 5 consecutive road games all against winning teams. I know, it sounds unbelievable that it's never occurred, but apparently it hasn't.
  16. Don't know, but Sam Smith Tweeted that this 5-2 trip is the best Bulls road trip since 1996-97, when that team went 5-1 on a West Coast trip. That's incredible. And now the Bulls have a nice homestand coming up. This is a real opportunity for the Bulls to make a move. Actually, 6 of their next 11 games are on the road. But if you look at the Bulls schedule coming up later in February, we have a great shot at going on a run. vs. NY @ NY @ Min vs. Phi @ Was vs. Ind vs. Por @ Ind
  17. Yup, 5-2 is about what I expected on this road trip...... ;) This is really nuts. The last 2 games before they started I honestly would have been ok if we lost. I thought 3-4 would have been a spectacular road trip for this team, and it would be greedy to expect more wins than that considering how tough some of the teams on the trip are. But, trust me I'm perfectly happy with getting the wins :)
  18. 05-06...they won 6 in a row actually.
  19. Maybe....but it wasn't really the offense that was the problem for the Bulls in that series.
  20. I've always respected Warner, so it's sad to see him go. I don't think the Cardinals are sold on Leinart at all. I wouldn't be shocked to see them go after another QB in the offseason.
  21. Mark who? I can't believe he hasn't been under contact with us since like 2007 and still hasn't thrown a pitch for another team in a spring training or regular season game.
  22. ? Nady's base salary is for $3.3 million, right? So if Dye turned that down, I would assume it was because he would only sign for more, unless Jermaine Dye is crazy and demanded that they pay him less than what was offered and the Cubs are even crazier and refused his crazy demands. I think it has to do more with Dye hoping to sign a starting job somewhere. Every whisper I've read about Dye this offseason is he wants to start. Maybe eventually he'll realize that this offer isn't coming, but looks like it hasn't quite happened yet.
  23. Wait, this team hasn't won a World Series in over 100 years? Son of a bitch.
  24. Am I the only person who is completely anti-Martz? I've read way too many bad things about him. Plus I can't see Martz working under Lovie working well.
  25. One more stat... over the last 2 seasons the Sharks are an awesome 50-9-11 at home...only 9 regulation losses in 70 total games. And during that time frame, the Sharks are 0-2-2 against the Hawks in San Jose.
