  1. Saw that today. Helps explain why he wasn't eager to run on that last play. A football player has bruises? Stop the presses! Yep, those were just your run of the mill bruises. Every player on the field has those every game. Especially the guys who don't miss a game for 300+ consecutive starts. Maybe if he came out of the game with them, Rosenfels doesn't cost the team the Super Bowl Or maybe he comes in and does this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCkUzetbXx4
  2. Anthony Jarrad Morrow (born September 27, 1985 in Charlotte, North Carolina), nicknamed A-Mo, is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 6 ft 5 in (1.96 m), 210 lb (95 kg; 15 st) shooting guard went undrafted out of the Georgia Institute of Technology in the 2008 NBA Draft, but was later signed by the Golden State Warriors and is now considered one of the best pure shooters in the NBA. On July 25, 2008, Morrow was signed by the Golden State Warriors after going undrafted in the 2008 NBA Draft. In his first NBA start, he scored 37 points on 15-for-20 shooting against the Los Angeles Clippers—the most points ever scored in a game by an undrafted player in his rookie season—and grabbed 11 rebounds. Morrow finished the 2008-09 season as the first rookie and first Warrior ever to lead the league in three-point field goal shooting, going 86-for-184 for a .467 percentage. In the 2009 NBA Summer League, Morrow scored 47 points for the Warriors in a game against the New Orleans Hornets - setting the record for the most points scored by an individual in a game at the NBA Summer League. In the 13th game of the 2009–10 NBA season, Morrow set a new career high with 6 three point makes in a victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
  3. Well back during the dynasty years, winning by under 10 points was considered having a tough time with a team. Maybe there were a lot of close games with the Clippers.
  4. Losses like this are actually a good thing to remind the idiots running this team of that. And it's funny to think of UMFan being subjected to this live. ass
  5. I'm going tonight. I would love to be confident in our team's chances, but I just feel like they are going to fall tonight. Clippers have been playing absolutely awful (in the last week they've been blown out by the Nets and TWolves - the teams with the 2 worst records in the league). I hope I'm wrong because we're clearly better than this team.
  6. Have you ever been to NYC? No, and I don't ever plan too. How ignorant then.
  7. I saw this thread and the number of replies and put the over/under for number of references of his wife at 2. Hit it on the head.
  8. And that's exactly what makes a 64/65 team bracket great. It actually means something to get into the tournament. It would be like if Harvard or Yale went from their current accepted number of students to a number 2 or 3 times that. Yeah, you still went there, but how diluted is your educational experience over what the people who got in and graduated with higher standards? No one brags about making the tournament except small schools, and they're the big winner in this proposition because of exposure And Michigan
  9. One thing I think they should do is give every conference a bye into the second round and make the 62 at large teams all play a play in round to advance to the main 64 team tournament. That way there is still value to winning your conference tourney and at least gives some merit to the regular season. I never understood why the playin game doesn't pit the last 2 at large teams instead of 2 conference champions.
  10. I doubt he'll be a catcher at the end of that deal.
  11. That's great news for the Twins, bad news for the Yankees and Red Sox. Good job Twinkies, that should help get those Minnesotans out of their Vikings funks.
  12. Yeah but NY is NY. There are numerous non basketball variables that would draw LeBron there over Chicago.
  13. Stronger than what? Millar shouldn't see Wrigley. Oh come on, his .674 and .717 OPS's the last 2 years don't do it for you?
  14. If you basically took last year's NIT bracket and added it to the NCAA field, teams like Georgetown at 16-14 last year would make it to the Big Dance. Doesn't it serve a young team like Georgetown to play in a tournament that it can actually be competitive in rather than be low seed and get killed by a much more skilled team in the first round? And the sad thing is, there will still be arguments about teams getting snubbed, only it will be so much more stupid. On a positive note, Michigan would still have a shot this year.
  15. Must Have been bang bang. I chcked right before I posted it
  16. Jerry Crancik is reporting on Twitter Cubs are signing Millar to minor league deal. On MLBtr too.
  17. Also....Northwestern still won't make it.
  18. I'm guessing that the 32 lowest seeds have a playin round to get into the bracket of 64? Or each region will be broken into seeds 1-24. I can't wait to predict a 23-2 upset on my bracket.
  19. This is DeRosa all over again. You trade your popular utility IF away and a short time later he's playing in your division again.

    Pro Bowl

NBA All Star weekend is their signature event and it is well done. It is the NBA's Super Bowl/Winter Classic.
  21. Bosh was the only one I really have heard about. Maybe Wade, but I think he is staying in Miami. The Bulls really need a good frontline player. I've heard through various reporters that it's believed Wade is their #1 target then Bosh. I think Wade is a better player and would have a bigger impact, but Bosh sure seems like the better fit. I doubt we get either but imagine the marketing possibilities of having 2 superstars on your team both from Chicago.
  22. Yeah it's 100% certain as long as they can clear a little more room. The latest word is that the Bulls still need to make a move to afford 1 max deal under the cap, signaling either Salmons or Kirk will be going in the next couple of weeks. It's nearly impossible for them to afford 2 max FAs, I think even if they got rid of Kirk and Salmons, they would still need to clear another $5-7 million to make it happen. The Bulls have pretty much said publicly they are going to be going after one of the top FAs this summer.
  23. The team needs to get better. Theriot is playing at one of the few positions that can be improved upon. We have no trade clauses clogging up LF, RF, 1B, 3B. CF we just signed someone to a multi year deal. So that leaves C, SS, 2B to improve. Our C won ROY 2 years ago, so despite a horrible season last year it makes more sense to stay cheap here and see if he can bounce back. That leaves 2B and SS. Theriot was an alright peace when he was making 700k. On a team where there is enough talent around you can get away with an adequate SS with obvious holes, Theriot is fine. But there are obvious issues in his game. He is not a natural SS and has well below average there. Strike one. He hits decently, but provides no power and inconsistent OBP. Strike two. He wants to make $3.4 million and thinks his .712 OPS last year enables this. Strike three. Oh and there is a cheaper, higher ceiling player waiting to take over at SS. So yeah, eventually I do want Theriot gone, or maybe platoon at SS. Not to say I don't appreciate him coming out of nowhere to give us an average performance at SS the last few years, but he's not the long term answer like the Cubs seemingly have treated him like.
  24. In that case, stand firm Riot
