I only saw the first 3 innings of the game, but I remember hearing Len say something like "Now we are obligated to report information that we think is interesting, so don't take this out on us but...Reynolds and Upton have never hit regular season HRs against the Cubs" and then went on to explain how the Cubs pitch them well or something. So imagine my surprise when I check the box score after the game and see that Upton homered and Reynolds hit 2 HRs.

Maple Leaf Sports owns the Raptors. They also own the Maple Leafs, the Air Canada Centre, and the Toronto MLS team. They are worth an estimated $1.75 billion USD. Yes I think they can afford a max contract. It's not like Toronto is some tiny podunk town with no fan support.

Are those numbers including today? Yeah. Oh yeah also when I looked at the numbers it was obvious wells has been good except for this start, and one other one when he was merely average. The Wells looking mediocre thing was all in my head.

I was about to say look it how mediocre Wells has been since Opening Day, and then I calculated his stats and saw he had a 4.26 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in the 4 starts since his first, and while that's not great, if he put up those numbers I guess I'd be satisfied.

Assuming the Cubs offense doesn't score 3 runs today and we do lose, I don't even think the 2006 Cubs started out any homestands 1-5. Ok they probably did, but still.

I think it's supposed to be worse than yesterday....at least in the Chicago area in general.

It's weird that Chelsea Dagger is recognized so well with the Blackhawks, considering every team has a song they play after goals. Just strange that this one stands out so well with the Hawks. Funny thing is, the Caps sometimes play Chelsea Dagger after goals too. Well, not any more. I missed the first penalty, but the second one definitely looked like a dive. I actually think I feel better about Detroit's chances after watching a lot of game 1. It was a decent performance considering they just finished a 7 game series 2 days before.

I was reading somewhere that some teams were hoping if they build up their team strong enough he could be had for the MLE, although I personally don't believe that to be true.

My fantasy team thanks the Chicago Cubs for their offering to help Kelly Johnson continue to be awesome.
