    Who knows if he would have had the same results had we traded for him in the 09 offseason. Different leagues, etc.

    They are saying on some Canucks boards that this is the first time this season that the Canucks lost in regulation when coming into the 3rd period with the lead..

    A little of both. Maybe people are being hard on him because they expect so much more, but I don't see very many defensemen out there turning the puck over so badly in their own zone. And so often.

    He was named a Norris Trophy finalist, which is given to the top all around defenseman in the league (meaning offense included), but in my opinion that was given on reputation and his offensive contributions heavily help him there. He was great earlier in the year, but has been borderline awful the second half of the year especially after the Olympic break.

    If you would have told me at 8:30 that we were winning this game, I would have punched you in the face. What a turn around. We completely dominated the [expletive] out of Vancouver from halfway through the first period on. Momentum is on Chicago's side now, the only reason it isn't completely on our side is because we are facing 2 in Vancouver. Just split in Vancouver and retake home ice.

    Everytime Lu gives up a rebound it seems to go right to a Vancouver player, or just hangs there loose in the center of the ice but the Hawks can't get a stick on it...everytime the Hawks are in good position to knock in a rebound, Lu gobbles it up.

    The last half of the period was promising. The start to the game was absolutely inexcusable, but they recovered nicely, and at least it feels like there is still a shot in the game.

    I'm rather amazed at how easily the Canucks are letting the Hawks dump it in the zone and skate by them. I'm still waiting for Vancouver to commit their first penalty.

    What a weird stretch. Half the team lost their sticks on the ice, Luongo was laying down taking a nap in the crease for like 10 seconds and we couldn't get it on net. It's been an exciting game so far to say the least.

    his defense was garbage all season and he's been pathetic in the playoffs. -5 before tonight. all he ever does is turn the puck over in his own zone It's almost like the play from the last half of the season...somehow carried over to the playoffs?!

    OMG this is a bloodbath. It should easily be 3-0. Now we are 5-3. This is actually good because if we somehow lived through this without a goal given up we'd get momentum.
