    Man only 1 run again tonight? This offense blows. Wasn't Rudy supposed to make things better? Cubs OPS over the last 7 days (not sure if this includes tonight, I pulled up numbers on ESPN) Nady: 1.700 (10 AB) Fontenot: 1.278 (15 AB) Colvin: .933 (10 AB) Soto: .833 (14 AB) Baker: .786 (6 AB) Fukudome: .675 (25 AB) Lee: .646 (21 AB) Hill: .644 (10 AB) Soriano: .544 (23 AB) Ramirez: .523 (11 AB) Castro: .444 (27 AB) Theriot: .399 (22 AB) Byrd: .377 (20 AB) Notice how the players with the highest OPS are the players with the least ABs. Now maybe that's sample size but it's odd nonetheless. We've scored just 13 runs in our last 8 games, and we haven't scored more than 6 runs in a game since May 6th (25 games). This offense blows.

    I'm just not liking the Hawks defense in this game. The way they've had trouble clearing and making really bad turnovers reminds me of how they played in March. The Flyers defense, on the other hand, has looked ridiculously good. I can't say enough good things about them.

    He kept wiping out randomly too when had the puck. I don't know if that's just a coincidence or whatever, but it looked really odd to see a hockey player just trip over himself multiple times in a game.

    Penalties called when the score is within 1 goal: WCF (Opponents-Hawks): G1: 0-5 G2: 1-0 G3: 6-2 G4: 1-4 Series: 8-11 SCF: G1: 0-4 G2: 4-2 G3: 3-3 G4: 2-1 Series: 9-11 Total: 17-22 Penalties when the score is within 2 goals: WCF: G1: 5-0 G2: 2-5 G3: 6-2 G4: 2-5 Series: 15-12 SCF: G1: 4-0 G2: 4-4 G3: 3-3 G4: 4-2 Series: 15-9 Total: 30-21 I didn't include 10 minute misconducts or offsetting penalties.

    And everyone prepare for the worst crowd ever at the UC on sunday. They will make Game 1 of the 08 NLDS look like a frenzied crowd.

    Evened out? It was 6-3 in favor of the Flyers I think 5-3 while the game was in doubt, and the 5-on-3 plus additional time after the goal counted as one long one. Even though the game was technically in doubt, I don't really count the penalties called on the Flyers when they were up 3 goals.

    They out played the Flyers in the 1st period which is ironically where the Flyers built their margin of victory. I think it was even/slight edge to the Flyers in the 2nd, and Flyers in the 3rd. I don't see where the Hawks outplayed the Flyers.

    If Seabrook gets to the net 0.5 seconds later, we're going to OT right now. That doesn't mask the fact that the Flyers completely outplayed us and are in complete control of the series. If I'm a betting man, the Flyers are the prohibitive favorites right now.

    Yeah right....the refs are already pissed that they let the Hawks back into the game with those other penalties.

    At the very least, its nice to let the Flyers fans sweat a bit. And it would be the 4th one goal game of the series.

    Why do the Flyers look so much faster than us and are getting to pucks that they have no business getting to?

    Since the start of the Sharks series, we've taken 30 penalties, while our opponents have taken 19. 30-19!!

    And Leighton makes a couple of amazing saves and the game is essentially over.

    Flyers playing really conservative and still dominating us in the 3rd period. And [expletive] I just went to my fridge and remembered I'm out of beer and I'm too depressed to leave the house to get some.

    I don't know if I'm going to be able to watch on Sunday. I'm gonna be really depressed all weekend Niemi gets beat again but it hits off the post.
