    Scoring seems down a bit so far. Only three teams out of 26 have managed to score 2 or more goals in their first game, and only one game in the entire tournament so far has had more than 2 goals scored in the game (Germany 4-0 over Australia). Almost half the games have had 1 goal or less scored in the game. Overall 1.54 goals are being scored per game (combined).

    Good to see that game winning home run he hit against us the first series of the season was just another case of the Cubs blowing rather then them getting beaten by a solid player.

    I would have easily taken Utah and Boise State over Air Force and BYU.

    It sounds less like recruiting and more like the bachelor with Wade giving people the opportunity to be considered to play with him. That's what is sounds like to me also. I saw a photo of Chris Bosh walking around Miami with a rose in his hand the other day.

    This is funny and I have no confirmation that it's true, it's just something a friend told me. His friend was supposedly a bodyguard/security at the parade on Friday and said Kane was really really drunk and vomited behind the stage area two seperate times before coming on stage. I think we all knew he was a little sauced during the parade, and there was one part in the parade where they caught him struggling. On Comcast's coverage, during Versteeg's little rap, they cut over to Kane, who was below the platform, waiting to be introduced next. And when they cut to him he had his head down leaning on a railing, clearly feeling like crap, either he was hot, drunk or a combo of both. Good times.

    I agree it's pretty badass. I think it would be the ultimate badass if we could somehow get a picture with all 5 Chicago teams in uniform.

    I was about to flip out if Tracy tripped over the bag and the ball landed fair. would have been an error but still taking away an easy out would have sucked. Alright, I actually feel like I am enjoying Cubs baseball for once. LETS GO LILLY!!!!

    Do not mess with the defense. Seriously, that's our biggest strength, and our goalie isn't getting better anytime soon.

    Either team can score with walks, hbp, errors, etc. and have two no hitters in a normal 9 inning game. What do you mean? I'm saying if the Cubs scratched across a run at some point without getting a hit, the bottom of the 9th wouldn't be necessary so the White Sox wouldn't get a true no hitter. I want to see both teams get no-no's so for that to happen the White Sox have to be the team that gets the run across unless it were to go extra innings.

    Well in order for both pitchers to throw a no hitter, either the White Sox have to win or it has a be an extra inning no-no. I don't think we need extra innings, so hopefully the White Sox can get a run across without a hit so we can see some history.

USA Today writer speculated that he'll demand $4M. Hometown discount? Niemi says NO. Ok bye bye Niemi. But honestly that doesn't make sense. Does Niemi not want to be a Blackhawk anymore? He's gotta know that by demanding that much money he's not coming back. I think he thinks he has leverage being a fan favorite and stanley cup hero and the blackhawks not have any proven options at goalie. But he has to know that if its between keeping him and Patrick Sharp, they are going to choose Sharp. I do understand that this is his best chance at making for money and wants to maximize that. I can't fault him for that. But if he wants to remain a Hawk, this is not the best way to go. I'm still in the honeymoon period though. I promised 2 weeks of not worrying about next season. Still got like 10 days left.

    Wouldn't a tie be a bad thing for Slovenia? Assuming they can't get any points off England, and assuming we handle Algeria, we advance with a tie against them. If they do get points off England, then either we tie with both England and Slovenia (if they tied) and 2/3 advance, or Slovenia and USA advance (with Slovenia victory).
