    What the hell is uniformly bad have to do with anything? You dont' win games by having a few defensive stands. The defense has been bad. They'd made a handful of plays, but they've been terrible overall. The offense has been abysmal, but the defense was bad before the offense had a time to hurt them. Because having a good stretch of defensive play is better than having no good stretch of defensive play. This isn't rocket surgery. The defense has been pretty good this year, overall, btw. Just look at the stats. High in yardage allowed, high in yards per play allowed, at the top in takeaways, etc. Not great at stopping 3rd downs of course. That's a really dumb post. A couple good stretches doesn't mean you didn't have a bad day. This is a dumb response. You seem to think either a defense can be great or it can be awful with no in between. But there is. The D has had some bad drives but they've had more good ones. Overall, they've given up 3 scoring drives. That's an average performance, and possibly slightly above considering they had to be on the field for 13 more plays than the opposing defense has. The defense did nothing to lose them the game. They didn't play a great game, but our offense should be able to score more than 21 points most weeks.

    Hester has done an absolutely miserable job as the punt returner today. Like to the point where he needs to be taken off punt returns for the rest of the game because he's absolutely killing the team.

    Its the coaching staff and its also the lack of talent. I could not believe that a majority of the "experts" were picking the Bears in a blowout this week. I mean are you serious? This team?

    No, the defense has been spineless from the start today. The offense isn't helping matters, but they've shown no fight at all. I still disagree. The Seahawks have had 3 good drives all game. The first drive of the game, and 2 others when the offense couldnt stay on the field. The other 8 drives of the game have consisteted of 6 drives that were over on 4 plays or less, one moderate drive of 37 yards, and another drive that was 6 plays for 12 yards. That's a very average defensive day.

No, the defense was giving up plays left and right from the start today. They aren't good. They are occasionally opportunistic, but not good. They gave up a TD on the first drive. That's allowed to happen. Next 3 drives were 4 plays 10 yards, 3 plays, -1 yards, 3 plays 8 yards. Then the Bears started going 3 and out on every play and the D tired. I'm not saying the D played great today, but they haven't been at all the problem. The defense has been weak from the start of today's game. There's no ifs ands or buts. It's been bad for 3 years, and it's bad right now. You saying 'no ifs ands and buts' doesn't prove anything or make your statement true. Our defense was fine, until our offense started going 3 and out every drive. The Bears have been on defense for just about 2/3rds of the game so far.

    Seriously....here are the number of plays of every Bears drive today: 4 3 3 3 7 4 7 2 4 4 Only 2 drives today that were more than 4 plays.

    Have we ever successfully stopped the slant pass? If I was an opposing offensive coordinator, I'd run the slant once every 2-3 plays.
