  1. It's been going on for awhile now. Nobody was talking about it last year because they were winning, but he had a really mediocre year (which I'm sure you knew already). I feel bad for Bengals fans for what happened in that playoff game 5 years ago. I don't think he's been the same since.
  2. I dunno, where's Vance when you need him?
  3. Man...I read this last night, and can't get it out of my head. I know that Haynesworth is a headcase, but I really like this idea. Worst case scenario, he gets disgruntled here and has a bunch of his phantom injuries and doesnt play much for us. In that scenario we have to be comfortable starting Idonije (which I am) in his absence. The thing about Haynesworth is that we have to find something to motivate him besides money. He seems like he doesn't care if he's playing because either way he gets his guaranteed money. If we cannot maximize his talent there's seemingly a sharp dropoff in impact between "Determined Albert" and "Less than determined Albert" All that said, I'm still all for it.
  4. Also, I must have missed something...what happened to Aromashodu? Apparently he got relegated to special teams only today, and Bennett took his spot in 3 WR sets. Rotoworld speculates that its because of his drops in week 1.
  5. in the martz offense, the screen is part of the run game. and the offensive line is holding it together ok. martz just puts more of a focus on pass-blocking, which was good enough to get the job done today. I agree, both weeks the O-line has been solid blocking for screens. Which is bizarre because they are awful in almost every other situation
  6. I'm assuming you mean Tommie. I'd consider it. Tommie is just never going to be the elite player he was supposed to be, but it's possible his supposed potential combined with his character issues would convince the Skins that they can maximize Tommie's potential.
  7. So trying not to get too high after this one and not too low after last week, what have we learned so far... Offense: -The Martz offense can move via quick drops, not just 5 and 7 step drops -We're not gonna have much of a run game this year -The offensive line is probably worse than last year. -Cutler seems to be more comfortable this year and more confident in this offense and with these weapons -The dual threats of Forte and Taylor can give defenses some reason to stuff the box via screens and dump offs. Defense: -LBs make this entire D work. -The D-line needs someone to step up since teams are going to consistently double up on Peppers until someone proves they shouldn't -Secondary is ok, but I think they are only going to be effective when the D is getting consistent rush. -I feel like the Bears are in a better position on 3rd and 5 than 3rd and 10, mostly because it gives the LBs a better chance of being involved in making a play. On 3rd and 10, especially when the Bears blitz with their LBs, which they do often, when the D doesnt get pressure right away it gives a good QB time to find one of the receivers or TE open because the secondary can't shut down good WRs by themselves most plays. The D only gave up 13 points today and 14 in week 1. I'll take that, especially because they are 2 decent to good offensive teams.
  8. I will applaud them a bit, but I expected adjustments on offense. I like Lovie gives Martz a lot of leeway with regards to offensive adjustments. If the defense was getting destroyed we would still be seeing a healthy dose of Cover 2 with tons of blitzing on 3rd and longs.
  9. He was beyond fantastic today. He made some fantastic perfect throws and made good reads when the pass rush broke down. I don't remember any passes that were not placed well. Considering the fact that we have had no running game (although there were plays like screens and stuff coming from out of the backfield) what he did was very impressive. These are the kinds of games I was looking forward to when we got Cutler. Not to say we didnt have them last year, but it's good to see regardless.
  10. We gotta do something about these late game "prevent" possessions.
  11. WOOO!!!! I CALLED IT YOU ALL THOUGHT THE BEARS SUCKED BUT I TOLD EVERYONE THEY WERE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL
  12. No he looks like he's 3 yards and 6 minutes from being fired.
  13. Please no goalline stands
  14. Briggs is having a huuuuge game.
  15. 3rd downs: Bears: 1-9 Cowboys: 6-11 It's amazing the Bears are still winning to this point.
  16. Bears have had only 2 1st downs this half I believe.
  17. Cowboys consistently convert 3rd and 10's, Bears get stuffed on 3rd and 1's
  18. That looks like an awful spot that they gave the Cowboys for a gimme first down.
  19. Why do our CBs keep slipping around all game?
  20. 3rd and long's are killing us once again. What a shocker.
  21. Same..only thing that bothers me is no TOs and 53 secs
  22. Do they go for it here are be happy with a 6 point lead?
  23. Their WRs are shredding us up.
  24. Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide No escape from reality
