  1. Did you know....If Carlos Zambrano can keep his ERA below 3.77 in his last 2 starts (he's at 3.56 right now), his ERA will have dropped in each of the last 3 seasons. 2007: 3.95 2008: 3.91 2009: 3.77 2010: 3.56
  2. I have this really bad feeling that Michigan might lose to Indiana this week. I hope I'm wrong.
  3. 11:41 a.m. monday where are you Can't you read? He's in N/A
  4. I can see both sides to the argument. If you kick the XP, its an 8 point game meaning that even if you somehow give up a TD, they still have to convert the 2 point conversion, which I think is like a 60% conversion rate. On the other hand if they go for 2 and get it, game over. If they don't get it, the worst that can happen is they tie it with a TD. I tend to side with the XP because I feel so much more secure when my team is up by 8 vs. when it's up by 7, given the odds that they drive down the field and score and then still have to convert a 2 pt conversion.
  5. Wow, I didnt realize that the winner of this game will be the last unbeaten in the NFC and one of either 3 or 4 unbeatens in the NFL (at time of writing Miami is down 4 in the 4th quarter)
  6. haha I love it, a GM makes a mistake, and the best thing to do supposedly is to make another mistake (offering Riot arby) so it seems like the first mistake wasn't as big of a mistake.
  7. The general theme of the Bengals season seems to be people starting to finally realize or admit that Carson Palmer has been fairly mediocre for multiple seasons now. It's becoming less likely that he will revert back to a guy that can win games with his arm instead of being a glorified game manager. What happened to him? Was it the injury that has caused this?
  8. Next Cubs game at Wrigley Field in approximately 6.5 months.
  9. Yup, the exact lineup I was hoping to see in the home finale.
  10. Bulls should be overwhelming favorites to win that division (you'd think) If Bogut is healthy, no. You must not have heard. Derrick Rose said he's good at 3s now. Must have been what allowed him to make the cut for Team USA over the superdupermegastar from Boston. Oh wait, I forgot Rondo quit the team on his own accord.
  11. Meh, there's no point. I think Bears fans all want to pick the Bears, and Packers fans definitely want to pick the Packers. Without predicting who wins, I'll predict a 23-17 score. Everyone is expecting a shootout but I think the D's will step up.
  12. I have a lot of respect for that Bucks team, so while I'd consider the Bulls favorites, I can't bring myself to consider them overwhelming favorites.
  13. The Chicago Cubs gave up 13 runs tonight. In their previous 11 games, they gave up a combined total of 15 runs. Way to end a fantastic stretch of pitching with a bang.
  14. That strike out made it all the way to RF. HAHA IM SO FUNNY FRED MADE AN ERROR AND I CAUGHT IT IN TIME.
  15. Yeah I won't be shocked at all if Cutler throws 15-20 INTs this year. Anyone who thinks Cutler's INT problems are suddenly over because he had a 4 game span with only 2 INTs (with 2 games against Detroit) is a moron. That's not to say there is not improvement there, but Cutler is always going to make bad throws from time to time. If he can move the offense like he has the last 2 weeks, I can live with the occasional INT even if occasional for Bears fans is slightly more than league average. That's why I get annoyed when I see all these "Cutler's turned the corner" articles that I've been seeing. Because while I agree its possible Cutler has turned a corner, I understand he's probably going to have a game in the near future where he has more INTs than TD passes, and when that happens the media is going to jump back into "Same old Cutler" mode.
  16. Pete Prisco is really high on the Bears. First he has them 8 in his power rankings with a write up of them at the top of the power rankings, then he has the Bears beating the Packers, 36-27 in his predictions.
  17. very true. I did see someone on Foxsports.com pick the Bears in his column though.
  18. Duh, the Packers are the greatest team that ever lived or ever will live.
  19. You don't think you could get anything at all in a trade for Favre? Even if it is a 3rd string WR or something, it seems better than the potential of dropping him for nothing then someone picking him up and beating you in the playoffs with him.
  20. It wouldn't surprise me if Gruden's presence in Dallas brought back Drew Henson, Chad Hutchinson and Drew Bledsoe just to try them out again. I'd just about guarantee that Jeff Garcia would find his way on the roster there as well. Vinny Testaverde would probably show up uninvited as well.
  21. One eye on it....why?
  22. on a Wednesday? Strange...I would have thought if someone was getting canned it would be on Tuesday at the latest.
  23. You could say that only a Cubs fan would have that type of viewpoint.
  24. Don't worry, McNabb 16 starts in a season one in the last 6 seasons. Rex will get his chance.
  25. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he made the comment about a veteran lineup not scoring because we had a lineup on Sunday for of AAAers that many people assumed wouldn't score at all, and they scored 9 runs, then we run the regular 'veteran' lineup out there and they get shutout. I don't think he's saying 'dont play the veteran lineup', I think he was just making a humorous observation. Obviously the biggest difference is that Andrew Miller started on Sunday and Matt Cain started last night.
