    I’m happy for those individual players but none of it really matters from a team perspective does it? This team will seemingly never get all its pieces working at the same time. Jed will blame injuries for the pen even though it’s glaringly obvious that Merryweather was the only one to miss significant time and not the difference between a playoff team and what we’ve actually got.

    The sad thing is with Brown, Almonte, Merryweather and Leiter all on the IL its gonna be really easy for Jed to blame injuries for poor bullpen play and not his astoundingly awful offseason after a historic playoff collapse due to the bullpen a season before

    Strangest enough Wesneski has done significantly better against lefties this year than righties. Like 200 points of OPS. Maybe the sample size isn’t big enough (60 and 90 PAs)

    I was terrified of that fly ball to Seiya there. You shouldn’t have to be terrified of a routine fly ball to RF ever. If the last out of the 2016 World Series was a routine fly ball of RF I would have been celebrating before it hit Heyward’s glove.

    So... 2nd: 1st and 2nd, 1 out, don't score 4th: Bases loaded, 0 outs, score 1 run 5th: 2nd and 3rd, 1 out, don't score 6th: 1st and 3rd, 0 outs, don't score (I realize they scored 3 in the 5th so I'm fudging the math a bit, but they did at one point have 2nd and 3rd with 1 out and didn't score again)
