  1. 3-0 Eagles. Vick barely missed out on a wide open Celek for an easy TD, had to settle for the FG. Where is everyone today?
  2. Well he was injured quite a bit last year, but played 80 and 78 games the 2 years prior and has played every game this year. Only 35 MPG as they've been involved in several blowouts but still its not like he's injured for long stretches every season. And despite only 35 MPG he still has the most steals in the NBA and 3rd most assists.
  3. The Bears first offensive possession went just as poorly as the Eagles. Cutler overthrows his receiver by 10 feet on 1st, then a 5 yard run, a 5 yard false start and a sack on 3rd. And then Jackson with a long punt return showing how much smarter he is than Hester.
  4. Not sure why Hester let a punt go when he had 5-10 yards of space between the ball and the coverage team. He could have caught it off the bounce and ran too...instead 10-15 yards of lost field position.
  5. 3 and out and Vick is SACKED. Nice coverage sack!
  6. So that's all your hanging on is the word "clear"? c'mon man this is a dumb argument to continue. There are too many of these types of arguments on NSBB.
  7. With the Giants and Packers possibly winning and one of Philly or the Bears winning and the Saints already winning this, I'm starting to think that 11-5 is going to be necessary to secure a playoff spot in the NFC. It could be 1. 8-3 ATL 2. 8-3 Phi 3. 8-3 GB 4. who cares SEA 5. 8-3 NO 6. 7-4 TB/NYG/CHI
  8. Of course...Rodgers gets 20 minutes to throw and then finds a receiver in the very very corner of the end zone and the WR barely gets 2 feet in before going out of bounds. Typical packers luck that theyve had over the last 20 years.
  9. 4th and game for GB
  10. Sure combined with all the stats that say that say Paul is the best.
  11. Packers offense is dominating the Falcons right now. This game is absolutely critical for the Bears. There aren't many games left this year where the Packers are underdogs.
  12. Pretty surprised they managed to go 4-2 on the trip, even though those 2 losses were blowouts to teams we handled easily last year. Then again, winning on the road wasn't their problem for the most part. Let's see some wins at the UC. Hawks are still 1 point ahead of the 9th place team in the conference. Only problem there are a bunch of teams with 4 games in hand over the Hawks right there.
  13. Whats more important win shares on a per game basis or win shares on a per minute basis? In any given minute of play, Chris Paul is the best player in the NBA. If I see numerous stats that conclude Chris Paul is the best PG in the league, and then I see one stat that says he's well behind, it's not going to all the sudden change my opinion. Especially when there is a similar stat (WS/48) that I would argue is a better measure of value that has Paul leading the entire league.
  14. Based on one specifically calculated measure sure. Paul leads the league on WS per minute yet is well behind on WS per game. Strange. Either way pretty much every stat I've seen concludes that CP3 is the best pg in the league and in many cases it's not particularly close.
  15. PER is for losers. Whatever. Look at just about any metric you can find and Chris Paul will be right at the top and higher than all other PGs in the league. He's currently leading the league in win shares per 48 minutes, 3rd in value added, 3rd in defensive rating, leads the league in steals per game, 2nd in assists.
  16. Definitely a good high risk/high reward gamble there. I'd definitely give him a chance... Webb Zambrano Dempster Wells Gorzelanny Not too bad of a replacement for Lilly.
  17. I don't know how you can say Chris Paul is the 3rd best PG in the league when he's leading the league in PER right now and by a decent margin. And the funny thing about that is that those numbers are slightly below the numbers he has typically had in the NBA. As much as I love Rose, Chris Paul is clearly the best PG in the NBA, and might be the best actual player, but there's understandably a lot of debate there.
  18. It's hard for the general public to undervalue rose when he's averaging 26/4/8
  19. John "the enforcer" Scott finally acts the role.
  20. I figured that out when the Bulls recently played the Lakers and Shaq wasn't playing for them anymore.
  21. Yup, before there was D'Angelo Hall, there was Asante Samuel
  22. Not that we would have won but it would have at least made the game interesting if we had taken a lead. Now its 10-0 Ohio State and the rout is on.
  23. http://cdn2.sbnation.com/imported_assets/598705/wnrnujjtpermynh.20090812202602_medium.jpg The "idiot kicker" himself...
  24. can you explain your disdain for boise? The blue field. The hatred is completely irrational but they infuriate me, and I'm pretty sure it goes back to the Blue field. The Statue of Liberty play, the "America's Sweetheart" crap. The lack of any good teams on their schedule. The fact they can play one game a season and go to a BCS game. Yeah that is pretty irrational. I can't understand why anyone would dislike Boise State unless they were playing them.
  25. No way, they won't even win their conference now. They are gonna end up in some pathetic bowl now.
