  1. You got all that from "the bulls are a mediocre road team"? Very random.
  2. ? you are odd. All I said is that the Bulls are mediocre on the road. It's pretty clear that this is true. The rest of the argument is just you putting words in my mouth. But to aid the topic you brought up of crunch time, 2 years ago the Bulls were an awful road team (Not just mediocre) and finished 13-28. We went on to play Boston in the first round, who was 35-6 at home this year. We won game 1 in Boston, lost in the final seconds in game 2, should have won but lost in OT in game 5, and played competitively losing by around 10 in game 7. So yeah, things change in the playoffs. Doesnt change that they are a mediocre road team right now. edit: I didn't mean you were odd bcl412. Although you are a Packers and Cubs fan.
  3. I didn't expect them to be a good road team. But for a team that wins at an 86% clip at home, 50% on the road is a huge gap. It's hard to look at a difference in winning % that large and conclude that the road record is because teams typically don't play as well on the road. They don't, but not that much of a difference. If you look at all the teams with .600 winning percentage or better, the Bulls have the worst road record. 16-9 21-10 13-13 (Bulls) 15-13 17-13 21-8 19-8 19-11 16-12 Just for fun: Home points scored: 99.9 Home points allowed: 89.9 Road points scored: 97.3 Road points allowed: 96.2 Doesn't really add to the point, as you would expect a .500 road team to have that type of splits, just felt like posting it since we're talking about H vs. R
  4. Oh come on. It was a team coming off a long break into a trap game with their center still getting his feet back under him AND they still scored 100. This is a team they've kicked the [expletive] out of with ease and they stumbled tonight. It's hardly proof of anything serious. But we're 13-13 and have lost to New Jersey, Toronto, Golden State, Charlotte, and Philadelphia on the road. We've had a couple of good wins on the road too, but overall we havent played great on the road. I don't know what else you can call it but mediocre. Would you call them a good road team? It's not like I said they are bad, just mediocre or average.
  5. I thought I used to horribly overreact to losses. RealGM is hilarious tonight. That said, this loss did expose that we are a really mediocre road team. I can't see a mediocre road team getting farther than 2 rounds in the playoffs, especially only getting home court in 1 round. I'm not really upset about the awful defense or the domination in the paint. Those things have consistently been a million times better this year, so its obviously an off night. Boy did they look awful though.
  6. Did Die Hard finally retire?
  7. UM's bubble burst :(:( FML. Between DEPAUL and UM I hate college basketball
  8. On a tee. Seriously though, Carmelo is underrated but he's not top 10 (I say without really putting much work into backing it up) but he's in the borderline discussion. I thought if anything he is overrated, as most people seem to have hi m in the 6-8 range as if it was his birthright to be there.
  9. When the alternative is an overpaid Deng coming off 3 subpar years, a player like Anthony being available is a major step up. After 6 months of sustained good play from Deng, and a drop-off from Melo, even a straight-up swap wasn't so obvious anymore. Carmelo Anthony is a really good one-on-one iso offensive player. He's also a decent rebounder. He does nothing else, though, and when all you do is shoot and your TS% is comparative to Jamal Crawford and Kirk Hinrich, you are not very valuable. And Derrick Rose, too. Don't forget about him. ETA: I was being a wise ass. No dissertations on the greatness of Derrick Rose please. Are you daring Rose to improve his TS%? It will be over 60% (for the season) by this time next week. If you had double dared him, it would be over 70% by the end of Thursday's game.
  10. Strange, thats what the 2015 Grey's Sports Almanac lists as the top 3 vote getters for NL Cy Young this year.
  11. You can be a missing piece and not be one of the top 20 players in the NBA. I might have missed it but I didnt even see anyone say not top 20. I think he's between 11-15
  12. How is New Jersey going to contend? With Deron Williams and a center who can't grab more than 6 boards a game? They arent going to contend today, but obviously based on the fact that they were agressive with Anthony, and now pulled this trade out of thin air, and the fact that they have a crazy russian owner who pledges to win immediately, this isnt going to be their last big move.
  13. The East is gonna be really hard to win for awhile Miami Chicago Boston New York New Jersey Orlando should all be contending. It will be like the West before where there was the top tier (LA, SA, Dallas lets say) and then another tier thats better than almost all the west teams (Utah, Denver, OKC) and then the lower playoff teams that would be a 4-5 seed in the East (Portland, Phoenix).
  14. Do Carpenters 2007 and 2008 seasons count?
  15. Guess there's no last hurrah for Albert and Co.
  16. Who the hell is going to rebound for them? They have no good rebounders, Amare included. Besides that our frontcourt will absolutely own theirs. Their front court consists of Stoudemire, Balkman, Turiaf, and Shelden Williams. Ours is Boozer, Noah, Thomas, Gibson, Asik. And that's just one reason why I'm not worried.
  17. He looks thinner.
  18. But he's so dreamy.
  19. Since Toronto got the 1st rounder for Bosh, and they never used it, they essentially traded Bosh for JJ. Didn't Toronto get 2nd pick in that move?
  20. *Waits for some smartass to start a mocking "How will the Royals do this year" thread* Welcome to the board BTW
  21. Well I heard there was gonna be challenges in the offseason and decisions need to be made, but I hadn't heard someone say it would be as bad as last offseason until this article. I forgot about the bonuses coming off. I wonder if the author remembered that. I don't recall him mentioning that.
  22. Put in a waive claim for the most expensive player that another team wants to dump. I don't know why but that caused me to realize that 2 years ago, they had 2 of the worst contracts in baseball on their team and managed to get rid of both of them for almost no penalty in terms of bad contracts. That's amazing. If they had signed Milton Badley instead of us, they would have found a way to get Felix Hernandez for him instead of Silva.
  23. And then the second quote. [expletive] 6 years later this jackass is still bitching about not having his horses. STFU. The absense of Derrick Lee had nothing to do with you allowing the 2nd most runs in the NL that year. You had plenty of horses in 2004, actually probably the most horses the Cubs have ever had in 100 years, and you ran that team right into the ground.
  24. That made my day. Someone [expletive] in Dusty's spot? LOL. I mean no one deserves that, but the fact that Dusty claims that happened wow. Honestly, I believe this story just as much as I believe that kids at school were saying racist things to Milton Bradley's kid (or whatever that story was). This is why was can't win the world series, because our fans are too busy taking dumps in the Cubs dugout.
  25. DERRICK ROSE IS THE GREATEST PLAYER WHO EVER WAS OR EVER WILL BE AND PLAYS BASKETBALL AS PRETTY AS A BUTTERFLY FRESHLY HATCHED FROM ITS COCOON.
