  1. Yeah not a high demand at all. Everyone is assuming we move on to next week and hoping its at Soldier Field against GB. Hope the team doesn't have the same feelings about the game.
  2. Atlanta is 2.5 point favorites. I didn't mean in Vegas. I meant in everyone I hear predict the game. I just don't see how you can say everybody is picking GB and they are the overwhelming favorite. Because every website I've seen so far that picks the games has picked GB and every radio show I've heard is picking GB too. I cannot honestly remember one person picking ATL that I've heard/seen. That is what I meant by everybody. I'm sure lots of gamblers are picking Atlanta, as the line has gone up since it opened. I'm not interested in a semantics discussion beyond that.

  4. I'd be scared if I was a Packers fan. I feel like everyone is picking the Packers but most people whole admit its expected to be a really close game. Considering the Packers track record in really close games, I am not sure why GB is the overwhelming favorite. Plus imagine how easy it is to use the "nobody believed in us" card when you are the number 1 seed playing at home where you are 20-2 in the last 3 seasons and everyone is picking against you for the 6 seed on the road.
  5. How dare they treat Gracie this way!!!!
  6. On Bill Simmons podcast from Monday he started the taping really bagging on the Bears. At one point he said that Tampa Bay was definitely better than the Bears. Then a couple of different "experts" like Mike Lombardi and another guy whose name I can't remember went on and really pumped up the Bears today and he seemed to be taken aback by their support of Chicago. I'm surprised Jersey didn't already say something about that lol.
  7. Somewhere, Hells Bells is playing.
  8. I enjoy King, but I don't watch every Bulls game and could see where his act would get tired. On a semi-related note, I'm rereading The Jordan Rules and Sam Smith portrays Stacey King as a total clown that his teammates, coaches, and front office couldn't stand. Its funny to read him getting smashed but his broadcasting career has really taken off recently. It doesn't get tired so me. It's a great contrast to the boring crap that is Neil Funk. What people who don't watch the games hear are his celebratory calls, but its not like he's yelling out catchphrases the entire game. He does have some pretty good analysis at times and has a good feel for whats going on in the game beyond just what you see on TV.
  9. That's cool and all but any Stacey King soundboard that doesn't have anything about his poster machine is not a soundboard that I'd like be affiliated with.
  10. They have Starks and have no running game. Or are we now counting 1 good game as the gospel? Seahawks fans are
  11. How about 2001 when both the Bears and Packers were in the divisional round? I forgot about that since the Packers were so badly beaten. It wasn't that much worse than those games in 94. True I just wanted an excuse for forgetting about them.
  12. yay..........
  13. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2011/01/bears-told-packers-rb-starks-they-were-drafting-him.html That's kind of embarrassing. I expect to see Starts have at least 150 yards rushing if the Bears and Packers meet next week.

  15. One of these things is not like the other
  16. Is Banks from Atlanta or something? He rates Falcons-Pats and Falcons-Ravens as the 2 more intreaguing matchups? I can't think of 2 matchups with less potential storylines....His biggest reasoning is because Brady plays in Boston and Matt Ryan played his college ball at Boston College. Wow.
  17. I'm guessing the Seahawks are rated so highly becuase if they got to the SB it would be the ultimate underdog story. But for some reason, the seahawks don't seem very appealing to me (beyond the fact that they must lose this sunday). It's not like they were a perrenial loser that comes out of nowhere to get to the SB. They just got done with a long run of playoff teams culminating in a SB appearence in 2005. If they made the SB, the 7-9 thing would hold some appeal, but it really wouldnt be a SB that I'd look forward to watching very much. Also, I'd say that Bears-Steelers would be the most riveting of the matchups involving the Bears. The teams are two of the longest running franchises in the NFL with huge dedicated fan bases and they don't play each other enough. The Pats would be next, and I get the SB20 rematch with the roles reversed thing, but the Pats just throttled us on our home field. the general public would probably assume its gonna be another blowout, which would kill the appeal. I think even Jets-Bears might be a better draw, due to the NY/Chicago thing.
  18. Yeah 94 was crazy. It was an all NFC Central Wild Card round. Packers beat the Lions (naturally), Bears beat the Vikings (in an upset in the Metrodome), and then both teams got killed by the vastly superior 49ers (over the Bears 44-15) and Cowboys (over GB something like 35-13) in the next round. That was to this point the closest they've come to playing in the NFC title game. 94 was the first year I really started watching the Bears, so I remember it fondly even though we were a really really mediocre team. If anyone wants to see the Bears get smashed, that whole 49ers game is on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quh-TLZ-RlI . I only watch for the first 10 minutes when the 49ers fumble the ball to the Bears in a scoreless game and the Bears hit a FG to take a 3-0 lead :)
  19. Brandon offers Matt Millen UM coaching job (admit it, you actually half believed it for a second)
  20. ya think? I know the AD is relatively new but he should be canned for making this happen. There doesn't seem to be a more disorganized program in division 1 football right now.
  21. lol I was about to point that out too. The funny thing is, Starlin was like 4-5 when Jeter made his MLB debut.
  22. Wow awful playcalling on the last 4 goal to go plays. Oregon looks like crap.
  23. Only in the first half my friend.
