  1. We'll see. I seem to remember the Bears doing exactly that 2 weeks ago with everything on the line for GB and nothing for Chicago, a week after GB scored 40+ points against another team with everything on the line. I think that Chicago's D is not a great matchup for the Packers offense. The Packers led by Rodgers have scored more than 21 points in a game against the Bears only once, way back in 2008 when they scored 27. That was also the only time Rodgers has had a QB rating over 100 against the Bears. Don't get me wrong, he hasn't had one stinker against the Bears (almost all his game ratings have been in the 80s or low 90s) but compared to what he does against other teams, the Bears have held him and the Packers offense in check. Even last year when our defense was terrible. If the Bears and Packers play next week, I think it will be a game where the winning team scores in the low 20s and the losing team scorers in the high teens. Lets get to that point first though.
  2. Weren't you the guy talking about how mediocre the Falcons really were yesterday?
  3. I guess what I'm saying is that the Packers don't necessarily scare me. They started to, but that last game against us got me really confident that we can play them. Don't get me wrong, they are a formidable opponent that we could easily lose to, but I'm not exactly shaking in my boots and giving the Bears no chance. They have a lot of chance. I kinda wish the Bears played first. I'm sure the players aren't in this mindset, but now all I can think about and speculate about is a potential Bears/Packers NFC title game. I have to remind myself that the Bears still have a huge game tomorrow against a team that could very well beat us.
  4. I say we just throw the game tomorrow. No sense in letting the Packers get to the Super Bowl by beating us on our own turf, amirite?
  5. Gotta appreciate Miami's shot selection down the stretch. I believe they took a 3 pointer in all of the last 5 possessions. They made the first 3 but you live by the 3, you die by the 3.
  6. The Bears can get pressure on Rodgers that is a huge key in beating us (well any team but especially us). I don't think Green Bay will be rolling over the Bears. This one still isn't over though. lol neither is tomorrows game
  7. If the Bears win 124-0 tomorrow, the Packers will still be favored next week.
  8. LMAO Well, you know what they say. A leopard can't change his stripes, or whatever the hell it is. Seriously erik, please shut up with that. I've made my point. Back to the game. What was the point you were making, that you are socially awkward?
  9. Only the Packers would stumble into these penalties.
  10. When did the Packer contingent adopt sulley as their mentor?
  11. I've discovered from watching the first few minutes of this game that I am cheering for the Falcons. I think I'd rather play at Soldier Field but not enough to cheer for the Packers again.
  12. Especially 2 seasons after having the 9-7 Cardinals hosting the NFC Championship against the 9-6-1 Eagles.
  13. And yet they have the 7th best adjusted DVOA for the year. And their playing in the comforts of home. Ask Seattle how much that means.
  14. I finally got around to reading the Simmons article, and found his reasoning for picking Seattle to be illogical. Thought I'd break it down piece by piece. " Because he's at home, he's playing a 7-9 team that rarely plays well on the road, he's a pretty good QB, and the Bears offense has averaged 26 points a game for their last 7 meaningful games they've played. But has led the team to a 6-3 record in that span Fine our offensive line was mediocre, and Cutler throws a few more INTs than you'd like him to. Valid point but you had no issue picking a QB with 8 more INTs this year in last week's game against the same team. Obviously he has more of a SB history but still. And the AL Cy Young winner this year went 13-12, and played for a 90 loss team. What's your point? This is valid. I am slightly worried he does something like this. But even so, against the defense he's facing, they might be able to succeed despite this. What does how he responds to the media have anything to do with his ability to be a leader? From all accounts, he is the leader of the offense, and his work ethic and attitude around the team is a great example for other players. Also, this was mostly a poorly received article that has been ripped apart but his colleagues since the article was posted.
  15. Dude I was just kidding. Everyone knows I have my issues with being overly negative, so I would be the last person legitimately calling you out for anything.
  16. Geez this is our chief rival for the central division?
  17. Bulls winning by 12 at halftime. Dexter is nowhere to be seen.
  18. I thought it was hilarious. Not as much what was said but how Deion made no effort to suppress his reaction.
  19. lol...if the Bears are bad, what's the make the seahawks? Make sure to listen on Monday after the hawks loss and give us an update on the mood. Im gonna have to. Especially if it's like 45-7 or something lol. The one guy predicted 17-10 Seahawks 17-10 cutler throws 3 ints and the bears have 4 turnovers or something. They also said Jurko was on their show earlier in the week and completely dissed the Seahawks. He said stuff like "why would I be worried about the Seahawks? You've seen them all year." and after they asked him what he expected to see this weekend, "honestly I'm just anxious to see if the packers are coming to town next week. I'm hoping we don't have to go to Atlanta."
  20. Ahhh I guess these people are the Boers and Bernstein of Seattle. There are tons of Bears fans calling into make points to defend the Bears and they are just hanging up on them then calling them idiots because they don't share their view point. Their biggest gripe is a sun-times article today basically calling out every Seattle player and talking about how each is a has been or a reject. But I mean if Seattle was the 2 seed and was playing a 7-9 Team in the 2nd round of the playoffs they would be saying the same crap. You are a 7-9 joke of football who thinks they are entitled to have respect.
  21. Wow I'm listening to Seattle sports radio...they don't have a lot of respect for the Bears. They are saying how dare their garbage team think they can so confidently predict a Bears victory. "The Bears don't scare anyone. A lousy team that have irked their way into a 2 seed. Congratu fricken lations". The Chicago media is downplaying the Seahawks and pumping up the bears because they are insecure about how bad their team is. I put this on 5 mins ago and I've never heard such hatred of a football team and a city in my life. If anyone has streaming radio put on espn Seattle.
  22. Simmons picked against the Bears. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmonsnfl2010/playoffs/round2&sportCat=nfl Basically he doesn't trust Cutler, and is buying into the Seahawks "rah rah" stuff. And then if t win by 30 he'll take them in the NFC Championship game. Moran
  23. Last week, Eric Allen was the only "expert" on ESPN.com to pick the Seahawks over the Saints. This week he's the only one on the site to pick Seattle over the Bears.
  24. UMFan is following Jersey Boys on its nation wide tour. I did a search for my user name the other day because I'm just like that and like 75% of the uses of my name over the last 3-4 were you making that same joke. You've gotten a lot of mileage out of that one ;)
  25. Not unless we find someone who can take Deng.
