If we beat Charlotte tomorrow, we clinch a playoff spot. Our magic number for the division is 3. It could be down to 1 at the end of tomorrow.

Me too... I think I raised my hands in the air 2-3 times.

That was seriously as painful as it gets. I could have finished some of those looks the Hawks had and I havent picked up a hockey stick in 5 years. There was at least 6-7 just really good chances or open nets just waiting for the Hawks to put it in but they failed in all of them.

How did they not score there? I swear we're had 5-6 really really great looks this period and nothing has gone in. In normal circumstances we'd have scored on at least 1 of those. Painful if we don't score and it ends 3-2 They are being way too patient. They keep passing up shots and then turn it over Officially standing on head

This feels like one of those games where we dominate the entire period but cant get anything to go through and lose by 1.

Guess the trick is me not watching. It would be really nice to get a point or two out of this one.

Everyone of the goals resulting from turnovers and terrible play by the Hawks, nothing special or noteable done by the Panthers - that's frustrating. I think its just one of those games. Not excusing the play but they were due for a stinker. Do what you can to get back in the game but if its not to be, conserve that energy for tomorrow and dont let this be a regression to the type of 2 steps forward 3 steps back play from the first 2/3rds of the season.

Well we werent going to win them all, but we really need 2 points from these 2 games, and the much harder game is tomorrow on the 2nd of a back to back. 1 or 0 points would be a huge disappointment and hurt our seeding chances if not our playoff cushion.

I agree what the hell was he thinking? If he was gonna pass that he should have 2 seconds earlier I still kind of think we are going to win this. Although going 0-2 on the PP early kills me.

No but I wouldnt expect it to be particularly detrimental either. bukie's explanation makes sense. I forgot about the last 25% portion of it.

Tell me how this makes sense. Yesterday, the Bulls were 2nd in Hollinger's Power Rankings, just .003 points behind the Lakers for first. The Lakers were idle, while the Bulls beat the 14th team in the rankings by 8 points. Flash forward to today, and the Lakers dropped .005 points, while the Bulls dropped .055 points. I know it has to do with Margin of victory, and schedule strength and opponents schedule strength, etc. But I would have figured that beating an 8 game over .500 team by more than our average margin of victory for the year would make us gain points.
