  1. Also what I was wondering yesterday, when do the cell phone votes start counting? Why I'm asking is because I'm sure a crapload of people voted immediately after Griffins last dunk, and McGee had less time to collect votes. Unless they only counted the votes after the last dunk
  2. And theres the equalizer. Time to hold on for at least 1 point. Losing this game in regulation would destroy the hawks playoff chances
  3. I am just waiting for them to blow this lead over the last 6 minutes. Hopefully they can get at least 1 point
  4. the last shot wasn't a 3 and wouldn't have held up upon review. You won. Can't you let me dream? Lol.
  5. If one of those 2 last second 3's against Illinois would have went in, Michigan would be firmly on the bubble at 18-10 and 8-7 in the Big Ten
  6. Not when there's a 700+-page politics thread and a 900+-page movie thread in Social. I do think it could become the longest thread actually related to baseball, though. Well the 2 big ones in terms of baseball threads to aim for are of course... Jake Peavy Thread (208 pages) Brian Roberts Thread (309 pages)
  7. And depaul loses in OT. If only villanova missed that 35 foot desperation 3 depaul could beaten a real live ranked team. In the past few weeks depaul lost to Louisville by 4 Cincinnati by 3, west Virginia by 2 and now villanova by 2. Painful for those guys.
  8. [expletive] villanova. Depaul was up 3 with 10 seconds left and nova hit a desperation 3 to take it to ot. Where depaul is now back to being depaul.
  9. And it wasn't an issue because the Hawks were doing really well.
  10. Lol the jackets are now tied with us in the standings. I hope they make the playoffs. I actually hope the hawks dont make it. Give them a sour taste in their mouths so maybe they will actually try next year.
  11. If it was for like james johnson or something i'd take him. I believe he's an expiring so it would be good for cap space.
  12. I love your "Beat every team watch" bukie, so I decided to see how common this was to occur. It seems like about 1-2 teams do it every year, which is pretty rare air. 09-10: Mavericks, Magic 08-09: No one 07-08: Jazz 06-07: Rockets, Suns 05-06: Mavericks 04-05: Spurs, Suns, Mavericks Then I went back to see how the Bulls did in the dynasty era: 98: 0-2 vs. Jazz 97: Beat every team 96: Beat every team 94: 0-2 vs. Blazers (this was the first year of Jordan's 1st retirement and no title won) 93: 0-2 vs. Spurs, Lakers, Rockets 92: Beat every team 91: 0-2 vs. Spurs, Blazers, Rockets
  13. Yeah after I posted this, I thought I might get a little flack for implying that going out and partying is not allowed for a pro athlete or something. But the reason I brought it up is that the Hawks don't seem to be playing at the ability level we've seen in the past. Even without the players we lost, I don't think we should be in 11th place in the conference with 25 games to go. I'm not saying everyone else is going out drinking every night and missing practice, but essentially showing this as an example that certain guys just don't seem to be 100% focused on the team. Going out and drinking is fine and frankly awesome. But getting drunk and missing 2 days of practice is not acceptable. (I should say also, there is no proof that the pictures are really from sunday, and even if they were there's no proof that Kane had a hangover which caused him to miss 2 days of practice. I'm just going off what was implied).
  14. Maybe an example of why the Hawks are having trouble making the playoffs this year?
  15. Perfect time to take that poll after possibly the best game of his career against the best team in the league on national TV with no other games competing against it during a period where attention in the league spikes with the ASG.
  16. I hear ya. Feels like Rose would have had a couple of 40 points games under his belt. I think the fact that he was averaging 25PPG without any scoring explotions like that shows how consistent he is in his scoring. He he's had probably 3-4 games in his career where he's gotten either 38 or 39 points. There was a game earlier this year where he missed a FT with under 30 seconds left that would have given him 40. I remember being really annoyed.
  17. If anyone has gotten a password or multiple passwords and isnt planning on using all their allotted tickets, let me know. I'd love to get my hands on 2 tickets to one of the games.
  18. Yeah I remember him being like 20 when he won the WS MVP with the Marlins back in 97. Seems like he's been around forever, but then again he started young.
  19. Wow. That's surprising. Try clearing your cache. If that doesn't work, try this: Close your browser. go to start->run->type "cmd" In the command window, type "ipconfig /flushdns" Close the command window, open your browser and try again. It's a long shot, but might work for ya. Thanks...I was hoping there was something to try like that, but no big deal. I just checked and low and behold, I am posting from my work computer once more. Productivity back down to next to nil.
  20. Day 3: stil no NSBB on my work computer. Considering pulling my hair out.
  21. Holy [expletive] DePaul just won their 2nd Big East game in their last 50 attempts.
  22. Starting working yesterday evening on my home laptop, midday today on my iPhone, and still hasn't started working on my work computer. Been a rough 2 days at work. Been spending time reading comments about the Cubs from 1984 on old archived google newsgroups.
  23. I didnt get one lol
  24. I dont know...4th smallest market in baseball and even if the Cardinals payroll was at 120 million, he'd make up 25% of their payroll. I realize that they operate and produce revenues that a mid-market club would, but thats only 15 million less than what the Cubs are spending this year. I personally think they would have a hard time fielding a competitive team with a $30 million player on the payroll.
  25. Nice recovery from an awful start. Crawford with a good game. I still have my doubts about their playoff chances but this was a big win.
