Now its just sweating out whether they will have to win the play-in round to get to the field of 64, or if they are "in" in. I'm gonna guess they are in.

I'm sure I'm talking about of my ass, but: better overall record, 9-3 in last 12 games, and head to head win on neutral floor vs. win against UNC, h2h win, better RPI and SOS is that the argument? Last 12 is meaningless. Almost as meaningless as overall record. For the record, I think Illinois has the better resume. I'm just listing the variables out there, not necessarily what the committee looks at. However, I could swear the committe looks at how you've played over your last X number of games and that plays a factor. Am I wrong? I'm sorry Michigan doesn't get into the tourney enough to know in detail how the process works. I'm about 99% sure that both Illinois and Michigan are in.

Wow...sorry Illini fans. I learned what my friends hvae been bitching about all year first hand. I root for Illinois over every team but Michigan. Michigan 2 NCAA Tournament appearances in 3 years after none in 12 years. I'll take that!

There was a really good article on ESPN.com on Monday I think that proved that historically, there is more of a correlation between blowing out bad teams in the regular season and playoff success, than winning close games against good teams and playoff success. If that's the case, Miami should be in decent shape since they still have the best point differential in the East. They definitely blew out a lot of bad teams. I think they might be the exception though because they can't beat ANY good teams.

1st question, I think it hit the top of the glass and bounced back in. I think that means it shouldnt be a penalty. It's only out if it gets to the netting or into the crowd right? The Hawks announcers were pretty convinced it wasn't a penalty. 2nd question, I know the play you are talking about. I believe it was Seabrook that stopped the puck from going in the net with his stick. I assumed that they scored too and was amazed that it didn't get in

As shitty as that was, and as disappointed as I was, I would have taken the 1 point when we were down 3-1. Good job coming back. The shootout is a crapshoot that didnt go our way tonight. Whatever. 4 point playoff cushion...tied with Calgary or Dallas for the 4 seed. We'll probably be around 7th or 8th the next time we take the ice, which I believe isn't until Sunday.
