They have destroyed UM with their size. Good shooting and heads up plays have kept Michigan in the game, but they arent gonna hit 50% of their 3's for the game.

Anaheim won last night over Dallas (in OT of course so both got at least a point) If the Hawks don't win tonight they will likely find themselves in 9th or 10th place the next time they take the ice.

I believe they will too. I just don't want to sweat it out.

God dammit every [expletive] team wins every damn game in the West race. Today, Nashville beat Detroit, now Dallas lost in a SO against Philly. You'd expect those teams to take care of business. Also Anaheim and LA are playing each other so one team will get 2 points. Hawks are now tied for the 7th/8th seed and 1 point ahead of Calgary for being out of the playoffs (but 2 games in hand) If Anaheim wins tonight they will also be one point behind the Hawks but with equal games played. Phoenix is 5 points ahead of the Hawks for the 4 seed (2 games more), if LA wins tonight they will be 3 points ahead of the Hawks (1 game more), Dallas is 1 point ahead of us with 1 game more. The Hawks absolutely need to win tomorrow. If they don't they'd better start sweating. A road game against Phoenix, who is red hot, does not look promising.

When you are down 4 with a minute left, you probably shouldnt wait 30 seconds to take a contested 3 point shot.

There have been a couple of upsets but only one or two down to the wire games today. This evening hasnt had one close game.

Or it will be like the 25 or so games where we had a horrible defensive first quarter and then put the clamps on and hold them to under 90 by the end of the game.

I don't understand why people have an issue with people talking about Rose and his game. The Bulls are awesome, and we all enjoy it (the Bulls fans anyways), and we all love Derrick Rose and want him to be the best player ever. Since he is our superstar, and will be our superstar for the next 10 years at least, we are going to discuss him outside of the context of the team's performance. Over the next 10 years, the Bulls will be good the Bulls might be bad, but one thing will remain constant during those years (most likely), Derrick Rose. So it makes sense that we can enjoy the Bulls season, and enjoy/complain/evaluate/discuss Rose on a separate plane. Doesn't mean that the Bulls winning isn't the most important thing. I have no problem with legitimate criticisms of Rose (plenty of which have been made here). I'm not here trying to say that no one should say negative things about the guy. What I personally find annoying is how that stuff makes up what feels like the last 10-20 pages of this thread. In that case, all I can say is people discuss whatever they find interesting. If people wanted to discuss more about Ronnie Brewer or something, they would.

I guess my dream of seeing Michigan in the Sweet 16 is on life support. Am I crazy to hold out even a little hope that a team that hasn't beaten a team better than Illinois this year is going to beat Duke in the NCAA tournament? Michigan almost kinda sorta had a decent rivalry with Duke in the 90's until the UM program completely [expletive] the bed late in the decade. Obviously everyone remembers the NCAA tourney games, then I believe Michigan upset Duke in 2 consecutive years in, I want to say 96 and 97. Then the program crapped out. Then 2 years ago we beat Duke in AA. Maybe the rivalry is coming back?
