  1. This looks like game 1 again. Vancouver is flying around making plays, keepig the puck in the Hawks zone. Looks like Vancouver got serious again. Can we match their intensity.
  2. For sure. 16-4, .929 save%, 2.23 GAA this year.
  3. Man this is awesome. I'm so glad we didn't get swept. It isn't the playoffs without the Canucks forcing the Hawks to mentally fold. I have no idea how they are going to make it to the Finals when they cant even go through the first round without a goalie controversy among other dramas.
  4. Are you serious?!?! Holy crap. If we win this game, we are taking the series, book it. There will be too much drama and pressure for the Canucks if they lose this.
  5. Thats not a big deal. People do that with ankle injuries all the time as a precaution. They obviously don't want him re-injuring it or making it worse, so the boot stabilizes the ankle.
  6. Now as for the Hawks, I am pretty excited for tonight. But at the same time, I still get the "house money" feeling here. Maybe it's because something like 40 teams in history have gotten to 3-2 from 3-0 and only 4 have taken it the other 2 games, but I know the odds are still greatly against the Hawks, so I'm just trying to enjoy it. If we can take it to game 7, only then will it start to feel "real" and expectations will come back into play. So all I can hope for is the Hawks come out carefree like the last 2 games, score early and get into their heads. They are gonna try to get back to what worked for them in the first couple of games so look for lots of physical play. They will try to get the edge back by slamming us around. Hopefully one of those goons will [expletive] up and take a penalty or two early. Either way, you can't ask for anymore when you go down 0-3 than a chance to even up the series on home ice. Lets do it!
  7. What happened to that team? Despite the presence of Pronger I was kinda rooting for them this year. For whatever reason I really like Briere and not just because he looks like Paul McCartney. But for whatever reason they haven't been the same team the last 2 months. Obviously it's not over, they are only down 1 with 2 periods to play, but there is no reason this series should have been this difficult for the Flyers, no disrespect to Buffalo intended.
  8. I was starting to think the same thing. I'm sure its mostly unfair at this point with it being not even a month into the season.
  9. Shooting 3's is ok. Shooting 7+ a game is not ok. He's shot more 3 pointers than anyone in the playoffs so far and is making 16% of them. In the regular season, he was 9th in the league in 3 point attempts and of the 30 top attempt takers, Rose's % was the 3rd lowest.
  10. Also, I don't think anyone said he looked disinterested, just that he sucked in the later half of the year. And that was a statement that was shared by people who talk about hockey for a living.
  11. I don't think he wanted it to come out that way, but it makes sense. I don't necessarily blame him for it and I'm sure he's not the only one that felt that way. Cup hangover is real. I mean think about what he accomplished in the last year, his team finished with the best record in Blackhawks history, won a Stanley Cup, a gold medal and the Norris Trophy. Then 2 months after the greatest team accomplishment in the sport, he has to turn around and starts all over again. That offseason probably felt extremely short for him. Heck it was short as hell for me..it didnt feel like any time had passed before they were at it again. I can understand where that lack of fire came from with players as young as the Hawks core. I'm not saying its a good quality to have or that they should be completely excused for half assing it for most of the year. I'm just saying that it doesn't make him a horrible person. Not everyone has the Michael Jordan gene where the drive is always there. I know Toews has that drive but I'm not sure about Hossa, Kane and Keith. I think as this core gets older, they will get that drive back...probably as soon as next year. As a career moves on it seems like many players discover that their legacies are tied to how many championships they win, and realize that they won't be playing this game forever.
  12. Your right it's not chili. The name is a misnomer. I don't particularly like very spicy food so I greatly enjoy the flavorful taste of it. And yeah it's popular. Theres not one but two successful franchises all over Cincinnati not to mention several smaller chili places in each neighborhood. I can respect people not liking it though. It's not for everyone.
  13. I keep wondering why the Bulls are coming out sloppy and unfocused every game. Used to think it was a sign of a young overconfident team, but wondering if they are getting that vibe from their young overconfident coach. My opinion is that Thibs wants to win without changing everything just because its not working. There have been a couple adjustments, but nothing drastic, whereas the Pacers have played 4 different basketball games, adjusting where needed.
  14. I can't handle another game of this series. I've gone from "The Bulls have a shot to win the title" to "we need to blow this team up and get rid of everyone except Rose, Deng, Noah and Korver" I'm losing my mind. I havent seen Bulls basketball in over 10 days.
  15. lol even if we lose this is hilarious
  16. This rest canard is really dumb and puzzling. The other contenders have been making deep playoff runs for years with old ass players. The Bulls haven't gotten out of the first round in years. 40% of the Bulls starting lineup missed a big chunk of the year. These are execution problems. I was more worried about Rose's ankle.
  17. If we would have won today, we'd be looking at 8-9 days of rest. By losing today, we are now looking at 3-4 days rest
  18. Rose is shooting 5-27 from 3 this series (18.5%) and is shooting 8-34 over the last 2 games (23.5%) In fact for the series, Rose is shooting 29-82 (35.4%). Blah
  19. I'm surprised a Bulls fan actually admitted this. Especially since he's going against LOL what's his name? You'll have to excuse us since we got your first coach fired.
  20. Carlos Boozer's series: 15-41 shooting (37%) 10-15 FTs (67%) 11.5 PPG 10.5 RPG 5 TO/G 4.5 PF/G The counting stats for today's game I just doubled to account for the 2nd half, which makes the numbers a bit skewed (he cant have 8 TOs today can he?), but gives you an idea of how worthless hes been offensively
  21. Cubs are losing You know...the team you are stuck with for the next few months after the next couple of days :)
  22. Pacers have now outscored the Bulls for the series in the first 3.5 games Pacers in the series: 323 points Bulls in the series: 322 points Bulls up 3-0.5 though :)
  23. Dempster's ERA up to 7.63 When you consider 3 of his 5 starts have come against the Pirates, Diamondbacks and Astros. Yikes
  24. lol wow....if he catches the ball its a double play, if he drops the ball its a double play. But the ump thinks he dropped the ball on purpose, its only 1 out?
  25. DONT YOU DARE DISS CINCINNATI CHILI. It's the only redeeming quality about Cincinnati.
