  1. We all knew this was going to happen when the negotiations started so it's silly that this is such a big deal. Im gonna guess that Ricketts is going to lose his hard on for the Red Sox after this. Castillo Jackson and cash seems more than fair to me. Anything more and its just Lucchino being a dick and is swept up in his imaginary leverage. I'm not sure I'm willing to lose Theo over something like Brett Jackson, but at this point it's principle.
  2. I wish I could set up an auto reply on my account whenever someone posts about the Marlins and Ozzie. "tampering" At the same time I only heard that from one reporter and that was 3 weeks ago.
  3. First senior class to graduate without losing to Michigan in how long? Oh well they will be bak to little brother eventually. 0-4 since Mike Hart made those comments though.
  4. Honeymoon is over for Hoke. Done everything right so far but making a risky play call in a critical situation to lose the game against your in state rivals is gonna give you tons of criticism.
  5. It's a big problem for Denard's wobbling ducks. Denard isn't in the game at all. Play Devin. They said o the radio that he hurt his hand on that drive and pulled himself out.
  6. Gah just finish 8-4. Not sure the team I saw here today could beat illinois or nebraska
  7. This is hilarious. I've been listening to the UM call of the game bc I'm driving to Cincinnati and this entire damn game the announcers can't stop talking about the wind. Which is ok because it's pretty heavy. But the funny thing is that they keep making a huge deal of it constantly. Every special teams play ever time someone passes anytime there is a timeout talking about how important it is to avoid challenging the wind at all costs. The funny thing is that there has barely been much effect at all on any kicking play and Cousins hasn't had that much trouble at all. So during the break between the 3rd and 4th, a fan was trying to kick a 40 yard FG into the wind for a promotion and apparently it went right through with no issues. Meanwhile in the 1st they were saying that UM shouldn't kick a FG over 30 yards.
  8. Gah. I was really hoping UM could compete against State this year. They are just wearing um down. I love Denard but UM needs a QB that can actually throw accurate passes. Otherwise a good D like this will shut UM down everytime v
  9. UM got [expletive] screwed on a replay and MSU takes advantage to score a TD.
  10. I bomb atomically socrates philosophies and hypothesis can't define how I be droppin these mockeries lyrically perform armed robbery
  11. Yeah that didn't happen. I did see a decent number of Jets and Thrashers fans, but never once did I hear a chant for the Jets. Not saying it didn't happen elsewhere in the arena, but it definitely wasn't loud enough to be heard. And yeah, the atmosphere wasn't dead. Maybe compared to the first couple of Jets games at their new home, but it was plenty loud at the UC last night.
  12. I'm going to go with, the Red Sox compensation demands. So now they would demand compensation for an Asst. GM to get a GM job with another team? That has never been done, and if they ever want to hire someone from another organization they won't be the first to do it. Henry has said you don't block your employees if it's a promotion. Yes but at that point, the Red Sox would be pretty fed up with the Cubs due to the failed Epstein negotiations and would make it extremely difficult for the Cubs to take Cherington. I think it's more likely that if the Cubs fail to make a deal with Boston and Theo stays, that Cherington ends up taking the Baltimore GM opening, or maybe the Angels.
  13. Also, there's no way of knowing whether Theo's contract even allows for his being moved to another role. That part could all be a huge bluff.
  14. What the holy hell? I can't believe anyone involved in any of this thinks this is a good idea. Anyway also of note is that the Big East is supposedly going to invite Air Force and Boise State as football-only members and UCF, Houston and SMU as all-sports members, although I don't know how that's affected by this asinine merger. Wow how does that conference deserve a BCS automatic bid with those teams. Big East would be: Rutgers West Virginia Cincinnati Louisville South Florida Connecticut Air Force Boise State Central Florida SMU Which of those teams is going to be able to beat the Big Ten/Big 12/SEC/ACC champ in a bowl game? Hell, which one is going to sell even half their ticket allotment?
  15. Did anyone post this earlier? It's from the SOSH thread I'm still going through. I have no idea who SoxScout is but he's the one that tweeted this:
  16. lol, the Sox farm system is good, but ok Keith Law
  17. Yeah I'm pretty sure every GM would refuse to deal with him indefinitely. Plus, Henry still has veto power over everything Theo does.
  18. This is a hilarious read. I thought the SOSH people were supposed to be level headed "smart" posters. I mean I know their viewpoints are going to be unconsciously biased towards the Red Sox and vice versa for us, but some of the things they are saying are just plain ridiculous. They think that not only do the Sox have all the leverage, but they have significant leverage. Nah, I don't think so guys.
  19. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT BOSTON HAS ALL THE LEVERAGE. THE CUBS WILL GIVE UP CASTRO AND JACKSON OR NO THEO FOR YOU. /Boston media
  20. Or maybe they finally realized that nobody cares about the WBC and decided to pull the plug mid game. It's not the WBC it's the WCoB.
  21. Meanwhile, Scott Miller chimes in saying that some sources are telling him Jackson tweaked his foot while others are saying he did not.
  22. Can't access from work anymore...and due to some new teaching assignments, too damn busy. I'm still lurking from home a lot, just don't have much to say. C'mon the old Vance always had something to say. Did you even come up for your annual Cubs road trips last year? If you did I didn't hear about it. I still owe you a beer from last time.
  23. Might have something to do with your user name. Just sayin.
  24. I got one for rubbing the NFC Championship Game victory in your face. Totally worth it. jerk
