  1. I was just thinking about how in recent Chicago sports, things have a way of going from extreme high point to extreme low in the span of one game or one moment lately. Examples: -Bears start out 3-0 including wins at Dallas and against everyone's favorites the Packers on MNF, team is riding high and then the next game they play the Giants, who completely embarass the Bears offensive line, knock Cutler out of the game after sacking him 9 times, hold the Bears to 3 points in a dominating win. Fans go from feeling very good about the Bears to 'wtf' -Bears win 5 straight in increasingly impressive fashion last year, improving to 7-3 and everyone is starting to consider the Bears a sleeper in team in the NFC. Minutes after the most recent win, its revealed Cutler broke his thumb, season over. Bears go 1-5 and miss the playoffs -Bulls perservere through a tough, injury filled year but impressively still finish with the best record in the NBA, everyone is finally healthy for the playoffs, everyone is high on the Bulls, Rose is back and looks really good as the Bulls dismantle the 76ers. Bulls fans start anticipating a championship run and....Derrick Rose destroys his knee and it changes the fate of multiple seasons. Big high to big low Now this. Not to say that the season is over or that the Bears cant recover from a week 2 poor performance. It's just strange how many times I've had to shift from an emotional high to a crushing low. They don't lose in a way that makes you say 'we just need to do a couple things better and we'll be ok'. We go from 'we have a big boy offense, we can be the team to beat in this division' to 'tice sucks, o-line sucks, fire lovie, wtf marshall, i hate everything' over the span of 60 minutes. (Honorable mentions: 1) Bears crush Falcons in week 1 and everyone talks about how the Bears are legit team and a contender, then have a similar but smaller Giants game-like breakdown in NO and get beaten soundly, but the Bears obviously recovered 2) Bulls blowout the Heat in game 1 of the ECF and fans start to realistically think the Bulls can win the title this year, then lose 4 straight to end the season, but that was more like a slow painful crushing)
  2. ? Downloaded last nights post game. It's pure comedy. Thank you so much for reminding me that its on iTunes. I'm going to enjoy the afternoon.
  3. It's almost impossible to remember 1997 Woodson
  4. This is true. The Forte loss was very advantageous for the Packers, although it seemed to occur seamlessly with Bush taking up the slack. Seriously, I'm angry at Marshall for missing that catch in the end zone. I know it's just one play and I'll get over it. But damn, we needed that, and it would have changed this game. Brandon needs to catch his STUFF. He really should have been targeted more. I'm quite interested as to why the Bears chose not to utilize him. He couldnt get open. Jay does everything he can to throw the ball to Marshall, if he was open he would have gotten plenty of looks. Marshall sucked tonight.
  5. I don't really watch the Bears unless they're playing the Packers, but is Cutler always this hot or cold? I've either seen him as a world beater or completely awful with very little in-between. When he's hot he's very hot and when he's cold he flat out sucks, but he does have quite a few "average" games as well.
  6. Jay Cutler is 1-7 against the Packers as a Bear (not including the game he didnt play last year).
  7. Whoops. Cutler haters are going to have a field day with this. Cutler normally doesn't say anything that would make waves in the media, so its really odd that he would come out cocky during Packers week. I don't think anyone expected the offense to be that pathetic, but damn, you'd better back up the talk if you want to make headlines saying those things.
  8. Well this game thread has turned into 2 Packers fans fellating themselves. I am going to leave for a 2nd time (came back after I heard the Bears actually scored) PS Cant wait to see how well Cubbievirus reacts to this game. He was trying the optimism thing this week.
  9. Well in the 2nd game of last season, the Bears offensive line got embarassed just as badly, to the point where Cutler pretty much gave up out there. Actually these 2 games look very similar as it pertains to the offensive line allowing pressure on Cutler almost every single play.
  10. lol, even when Cutler gets a little protection, absolutely no one gets open, so he gets sacked anyways. I can't believe how badly we've been exposed tonight
  11. QBR down to 8.1 for Cutler 8-22, 81 yards, 0 TD, 3 INT
  12. Yeah I'm turning this off. See you next week. Can't wait to hear sports radio tomorrow.
  13. He's been bad but not as bad as the stats might indicate. He has had horrible protection and some bad drops. Yeah, that's not true. Maybe 1 of the interceptions weren't Cutlers fault, but he's been really inaccurate all game, making very questionable throws, passing right to packers, underthrowing/over throwing. I'm not saying he had any help from his offensive line or WR, but he's still be horrible in his own right
  14. We're calling running plays down 3 scores why?
  15. Cutler in night games at GB,2 games 24-55, 347 yards, 1 TD, 7 INT
  16. Yeah I know. Never in my worst nightmares did I expect to see this kind of game tonight. I thought the Bears had a chance to lose, but I didn't expect to see them get embarassed and completely torn apart over the course of 4 quarters. Confidence amongst the fans/media/everything is about to plummet.
  17. Cutler 7-19, 70 yards, 0 TD, 3 INT, 8.6 QBR Grossmanesque
  18. Cutler just sucked major ass tonight, as well as his WRs and his offensive line. RBs were ok though
  19. Oh the meatballs are going to be in full force tomorrow
  20. Need 2 TDs when we can barely get the ball across midfield
  21. Has Tice made any obvious adjustments this game? It seems like he still has the same gameplan all game.
  22. Yup, if the Packers are allowed to use that excuse every time they lose, then we can too.
  23. I know that the over got bet up over the course of the week.
  24. So much for the momentum boost. I just can't comprehend why the offense is so bad today. So embarassingly bad.
