How were the times chosen for this tourney? I would guess of the teams playing on day 1, the only teams non-fans would care to watch are Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota and Iowa. Of course 3 of those 4 teams played in the early portion. Nebraska-Purdue is the early prime time game, followed by Iowa-Northwestern? The most compelling games of the day was probably Illinois-Minnesota and it was on at 11. Michigan is the best team playing today and they played at 1:30. Even tomorrow...you have Indiana and Wisconsin anchoring early games, while the night games are MSU and OSU probably whipping on Iowa and Nebraska/Purdue. Weird way to avoid putting the most compelling games on primetime

I have no idea what this is saying: So if the Hawks, Wild and Stars were the 3 playoff teams in division A (in order), with the Canucks, Ducks and Kings the 3 teams in division B, with the Blues and Sharks as the wild cards, I think this is saying that the first round would look like this: 1A Blackhawks vs. 2WC Sharks 1B Canucks vs. 1 WC Blues 2A Wild vs. 3A Stars 2B Ducks vs. 3B Kings I have no idea where they go from there....I'm assuming they would play the winner of the series involving the winner of that division. So say the Hawks Canucks Wild and Ducks won...the Semis would be: 1A Blackhawks vs. 2A Wild 1B Canucks vs. 2B Ducks Way more complicated than it needs to be.

Have they figured out how playoffs will work with uneven divisions? Yeah...top 3 teams from each division plus the next 2 best teams. So you could have 5 teams from one division and 3 from the other, or 4 and 4.

Well yes, also since they've played without Taj, Hamilton and Hinrich. Also I think I read they've played the 2nd hardest schedule in the NBA over the past ~5 weeks and most road games to home games split.

Edit: I hate you. I was going to post the link halfway into reading the article, got to the "add reply" screen then decided to read the rest of the article before posting in case Reilly bombed the second half of the article. Anyways, I'm actually stunned that I was attempting to pass on a Reilly article but he did a decent job taking the Cubs side of things.

I've been stubbornly sure that Rose would end up coming back this year but now that the comments are coming out from his talk with reporters today, I am starting to believe that Rose isn't coming back this year unless he miraculously wakes up one day with no pain. Hope I'm wrong.

Well I'm pretty sure the Bears won't have a player on the cover of madden this year.....they are doing a past vs. present thing so each team has a former and current player in the field of 64. The Bears got Matt Forte for the present guy (ok I guess but someone like Marshall would have given them a better shot). But for the past player, the Bears, a team with the most HOFers ever and some of the greatest players to ever play the game...Butkus, Payton, Sayers, etc, were given Ron Rivera for their past entry. Oh and he's going up against Barry Sanders in the 1st round. -
