  1. That news [expletive] makes my week. Won't contend for a title next year but should be back towards the top of the B1G next year. Walton Irvin Stauskas Robinson McGary With Albrecht, Levert, Donnal, Morgan, Horford off the bench.
  2. Goosebumps. That Rancourt guy is perhaps the biggest douche on the planet, but that was special. Goes right up there with the 1991 All Star game in terms of hockey anthems...heck any anthems
  3. As much as I am in favor of anything that helps increase the chances of Iowa beating Michigan, I hate seeing players like him and Burke leaving early. The NBA is stupid. I think they should go back to letting guys come out of HS, but if you go to college you have to stay 2-3 years or be a certain age (like 20/21 or whatever the average soph/junior in college age is). Well that would probably just hurt the college game then. If you are a potential 1st round pick out of HS and your choices are leave now or commit to 3 years of college, most are going to choice to go pro. That would hurt the college game? I think the roster stability would help the game. A lot less talent going into the game, leads to crappier play. Then it hurts the NBA by once again flooding it with projects that arent ready for the league.

Hardaway yes, Burke I understand him going. I usually never question anyone going for the money. I think in Hardaway and Robinsons case though, I may have a slightly different opinion. Still hard to argue going for the money. With regards to Hardaway there's no guarantee he is a 1st round pick. If he gets picked in the 2nd round, it might have been the wrong choice to leave.
  6. I believe he still owns a house near Wellington and Paulina, probably just stopping by
  7. Right but the hope is that at least 2 of Soler, Almora and Baez will be those position players we wouldn't be able to get via FA. If we trade them for Price, we make it even harder to have a strong offensive core. I could go either way...Price would obviously be the best pitcher we've had in Chicago since Prior and makes our staff dominant.
  8. Would definitely love to have Price, but it depends on the price tag. If we had to trade 2 of Baez, Soler and Almora, plus more, it might not be worth it due to the fact that we would have Shark, Jackson, and possibly Appel, with an option to keep or trade Garza. It would come down to would you rather have Price and the return on a potential Garza trade (which obviously isnt going to come close to what we'd give up for Price, or Garza with Baez, Soler and Almora or those 3 and the return on a potential Garza trade.
  9. especially because we are about to get pounded with a storm /aramisfan
  10. TH Jr is declaring for the draft today. That leaves 2 still undecided for Michigan.
  11. This is amazing. I hate the South Loop arena possibility and was very disappointed that DePaul seemed to be going through with this as their first option. Didn't make sense to see. Hope there is something to this but from what I've read there are probable environmental issues on that site that could take years to clear up.
  12. Well the Cubs just signed Gregg and Loe off the scrapheap, Wood couldn't be much worse then those two....
  13. Barney lined a shot to center, it looked good off the bat, but the CF dove and caught it.
  14. Barney thought he did it off the bat, damn you cruel baseball gods
  15. I keep going back and forth on this...knowing that the Bulls are of course not going to win the east regardless, who should I be rooting for the Bulls to play? I don't think we beat the Pacers, but if we did somehow do so, I like our odds against the Knicks better than against the Heat. I think we can beat the Nets, but theres no chance of beating the Heat. I guess at the end of the day, I'd rather play the Nets because whatever it would be fun to possibly win a playoff series.
  16. I only care about how it effects me, and to me it makes it less cool.
  17. This team is like drowning just below the surface of the water. So close to being adequate. Isn't this how we started last year? A bunch of good starting pitching performances wasted by a bad bullpen and inadequate offense?
  18. Well at least we got that one fluke good year out of Camp
  19. Anyways, I think this is a terrible idea to flood the market with outdoor hockey games.
  20. They once played an outdoor preseason game in a parking lot in Las Vegas when it was 85 degrees out.
  21. Exactly. Also nice to have expanded statistics up there all in one place. There are definitely downsides too (ads, kiss cam, stupid blooper stuff that appeal to the casual fan) but all in all its an improvement to have one.
  22. I don't understand how someone could hate a jumbotron at a baseball game. It's like saying you hate indoor plumbing and prefer to [expletive] in a bucket because that's how they did it in the old days. Sorry to say but it makes the game experience better. And then there's the additional revenue part.
