Hope you are right and we're not going to see another series like Phoenix where the goalie stands on his head most of the series despite out playing the opponent.

There are roughly 500 bars within a 10 minute walk from the stadium. God forbid you watch it there and miss 2 innings. I'm bringing my wife and 2 year old and my wife got the tickets from work so shes putting pressure on me about getting to the game on time. I had no idea you were married with a kid. I feel more and more like a huge man child every day. Got married a month ago....the kid is long story. Adopted from a family member that couldn't take care of her. -

Thank God the Cubs have started this earlier than last year's 19-10 surge in June/July, which ended when they traded half the team.

So the Cubs are outscoring their opponents 38-6 over their last 37 innings of baseball if you want to be cheap and count the last 4 innings of Sunday's Reds game and the 3 rained out innings at the Cell on Tuesday.

Why the hell is tomorrow nights game a random Saturday night game? I would like that normally but I have tickets tomorrow and it starts at 6:15 and the Hawks start at 4. Hope the Wrigley TVs in the concourses have NBC Sports Network Edit: Whoops, I forgot about the Captain Morgan club....they will definitely have it on.

I really wish the East Finals started tonight. Really in the mood for some hockey and there's no NBA game and the Cubs are on now.

It's too bad Matt Garza is pitching tomorrow, otherwise that record might well be ours. Hey now, Garza has a 1.000 OPS this year (ok he's only 1-3 with a double and has a career .210 OPS but whatever)

I agree with this. Anytime you go deep in the conference finals, you've done well. At that point it's almost a roll of the dice. Yup...especially because I feel like these 4 teams are the 4 best teams in hockey. In 2010, I felt the East was a lot weaker and it would have been a disappointment to lose in the Finals. I don't think there is much shame in losing to any of the other 3 remaining teams.

And 22 runs over the last 2.5 games I might actually be excited about this team...would be more excited if we didnt have such a big hole to dig out of. Even with the 6 game losing streak taken into account the Cubs are 9-8 in their last 17 games if we can finish this one today.

Maybe when Sveum said Wood might be the best pitcher in baseball he was taking his hitting into account as well.
