  1. Haha, the broadcast picked up "Detroit Sucks" chants going on at Wrigley during the game
  2. screw you and your sulley reverse mojo, BUDDY Ha. I keep bouncing back and forth between supreme confidence that the Hawks will win and horrific visions of a game 2 redux. Regardless, it's a bad idea to start speculating about a next series that may not even happen. Would you rather face the Bruins or Penguins in the finals? Bruins this year, Penguins next year.
  3. So including the rained out 3 innings, the Cubs have outscored the Sox 13-1 this series. And are back to -2 in run differential for the year.
  4. What happens if they tie? I forget. Current Cup holder (in this case the Sox) keeps it. thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard. At least make it run differential or something. then again, the crosstown cup is the dumbest thing ive ever heard as well.
  5. LeBron went almost 3 games in the Bulls series without getting called for a foul and only 'committed' 6 fouls the entire series.
  6. But they've only played one game 7. 2-1 at "forcing game 7's" and 0-1 at winning them.
  7. They let LeBron James foul out on an offensive foul in a playoff game?
  8. The next night was worse.....Alf blew a 6-4 lead with 2 outs in the 8th, then Juan Cruz gave up a single with 2 outs in the 9th to give the Sox the win.
  9. It's raining on the North side but not enough to stop play if the game was up here.
  10. If the Cubs weren't winning, I'd almost hope that the game got called because it would give us the potential of a day night double header at Wrigley and then the Cell tomorrow or Thursday.
  11. Fair assessment overall. Regarding the penalty shot, Hawks fans are going to say 'it was the right call per the rulebook' and Wings fans are going to say 'it was ticky tack and shouldnt have been called given how the rest of the game was called'. I don't think either side is going to convince the other. As far as the Kings, I am quite worried about facing them if the Hawks advance. I'd say if the Hawks played the Sharks, Hawks in 6, if the Hawks played the Kings, Kings in 6. But I don't think the Hawks have no shot....it would just be a difficult series. Winning the first 2 at home would be critical. Wings would have a decent chance to beat LA.
  12. Well Stones are playing 3 shows at the UC....Tuesday, Friday and next Monday. Tonight doesnt matter because game 7 is tomorrow. I'm guessing Game 1 of the ECF is going to be Thursday night, with the Stones concert on Friday, then Game 1 of the WCF (if the Hawks win) on Saturday, either Game 2 of the WCF or ECF on Sunday. Its the ECF on Sunday, there probably won't be a game on Monday, then Game 2 of the WCF on Tuesday. If they make the WCF back to back Saturday and Sunday, then the ECF on Monday. I know with the condensed season, they probably want to avoid and possibly cant afford 2 days off between games in the conference finals, so its possible they make the Hawks play back to back. Also, the Hawks practice at Johnny's Ice House in the West Loop, so there shouldn't be any concerns about the Stones concert affecting their practice time. I feel bad for the UC workers that could possibly have to convert the stadium between a rock concert and hockey 6 times over the course of a week, but I'm sure they knew this was a strong possibility and that's why the 3 Stones concerts are scheduled the way they are.
  13. BCB has more photos of this: http://www.bleedcubbieblue.com/2013/5/28/4373218/cubs-video-board-mockup-rooftops-wrigley-renovations
  14. Keith Law updated his top 25 prospects (and 5 more he considered). Soler jumped up from 42 to 21 since the preseason. Baez is nowhere to be seen http://m.espn.go.com/mlb/story?storyId=9315120 Edit: Since its insider here is the blurb about Soler:
  15. The Puck Daddy blog gives a detailed description of why Frolik's penalty shot was legit: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/blackhawks-penalty-shot-really-want-nhl-playoff-officiating-134744828.html On Colaiacovo’s play, it (i) took place in the attacking zone and (ii) was committed from behind and (iii) Frolik was denied a scoring chance and (iv) there was no one between Frolik and Howard. It’s a clear-as-day penalty shot call.
  16. Yeah...it started to feel like Games 3 and 4 all over again after the Wings took the lead. Especially because afterwards the Wings had another couple of great scoring chances, and then a power play. Big credit to the team for withstanding the Detroit rush and keeping it at 2-1.
  17. I will admit, Craw really responded after that softie....made some really nice saves. The goal at the end wasn't really his fault.
  18. Now that its a do or die Game 7, I can refocus on Kings-Sharks series in terms of potential opponents. Basically, go Sharks
  19. The UC will be rocking on Wednesday. Early prediction is 3-1 Hawks.
  20. Yes, huge faceoff wins by the Captain to seal the game.
  21. Terrible penalty. And now the Hawks don't get the man back so its back to 51 seconds of PP for Detroit to try to tie.
  22. Time to [expletive] sweat out 52 seconds.
