  1. NBC Sports is having a pregame segment where they show the montage of highlights from the postseason. Before the Bruins montage they talked about how Boston romped through the playoffs. Before Chicago's they talked about how the Hawks didn't take the easiest path to the Final. So yeah the Bruins were 12-4 and the Hawks 12-5
  2. Well yeah, the Bruins had one of the greatest regular seasons in NHL history and have home ice in the series so of course. Oh wait that's the Blackhawks
  3. From an ESPN article: The Big Ten has landed fewer top-25 recruits over the last 4 seasons than Kentucky, and its not even close (19 for Kentucky, 11 for Big Ten)
  4. I'm getting really excited for tonight....still a little under 9 hours away. I wish I could really fully appreciate how awesome it is to have my team playing in the championship series. When I'm sitting there watching a gutted apart Cubs team playing for a high draft pick in August with nothing else to follow except Bears training camp, I will really miss the excitement of game day.
  5. I don't get what has caused the 'experts' to suddenly consider the Hawks below the Bruins. When the regular season ended, the Hawks were the clear cup favorites. Since then, the Hawks have gone 12-5 and the Bruins 12-4. The Bruins beat a decent but flawed Leafs team with no playoff experience in OT of game 7, the Hawks beat a decent but flawed Wings team with years of playoff success in OT of game 7 (shouldnt have been OT but whatever), the Bruins beat a disappointing Rangers team in 5, the Hawks beat a disappointing Wild team in 5. The Bruins swept the East favorites, the Hawks beat the defending champs in 5. Despite the Pens flaws, they are still very talented and sweeping them without home ice was impressive, but making a hot Quick look mortal was impressive too even if the Kings were beat up and clearly not playing at the same level as last year. So yeah the Bruins have looked slightly more impressive in the playoffs, but I don't think it would be enough to all the sudden make them the clear favorites, especially without home ice (Hawks are 9-1 at home and would tie a record for most home playoff wins in a season with 1 win this series).

  7. Bollig wants his name on the Cup!
  8. Just reading that article, the writer seems to believe the only way to evaluate defense is "offensive ability", "physicality", and sometimes "blocked shots" Also funny that he has Seabs as the Hawks top defender but he also gives him the overall edge over Chara.
  9. Looks like the fog bowl except its baseball and one of the teams involved kinda sucks
  10. Yeah I don't really care much either, but the Chicago National League Baseball team is playing right now.
  11. Apparently a 9 year old Hawks fan drew up this gameplan to beat Boston: http://l2.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/slC0_67qWNRg432KHczFKQ--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTYzMA--/http://media.zenfs.com/en/blogs/sptusnhlexperts/UWEt3uZ.jpg
  12. He finally made it past the first round! By...not playing at all. I'm guessing he is playing right now (this game put me to sleep) but my point stands hah. Did he play a minute before now? I know he played some minutes in the first round series against the Lakers He has played 17 minutes in the playoffs before tonight. 1 game in the Lakers series, 2 games in the Warriors series, 1 game against the Grizzlies and tonight. 0 points scored
  13. Great last 1st rounder by Angelo
  14. That's awesome. I wish I had an older relative with that kind of memory of positive historical Cubs moments (positive in that they made the World Series). I just have a couple that bitch about 1969 all the time

  16. I think its cool that 3 of our last 4 playoff series wins have come on goals scored in OT. 2 by Kaner, 1 by Seabs
  17. lol, I'm too lazy to screencap but on the ESPN poll for who will win the Stanley Cup, it was 55-45 in favor of the Hawks, and every state picked the Hawks except the entirety of New England (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI) and Michigan. Suck it scum fans.
  18. http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?t=1444071 Most of the comments have been pretty good, I'm just cherry picking the bad ones Their poll right now is 59-41 in favor of the Bruins
  19. THE LATINOS POST picks Bruins in 5 http://www.latinospost.com/articles/21021/20130609/chicago-blackhawks-vs-boston-bruins-preview-predictions-schedule-nhl-stanley.htm
