  1. Come on that’s BS ugh. He’s still trying to get rid of the ball
  2. I know these are tough throws and not always in stride but it’s jarring to see almost anything thrown more than a few yards downfield nowhere close to its intended target
  3. Meanwhile Willis and Darnold have already led their teams to TDs #coaching
  4. Ugh, good job breaking out of the pressure. Not an easy throw deep to Rome but I’d really love to see him hit on of those. wtf are they having Santos trying FGs from that deep? When he hit from 54 it hit the crossbar. Seems pretty stupid to give the Colts good field position
  5. Really love that 4th down call, not just because it worked but that doesn’t hurt haha
  6. Another long developing draw play goes for negative yards. Frustrating
  7. I was actually watching that, really entertaining game. When the Pads had 1st and 3rd and 1 out bottom of the 9th the hitter was Arraez so I figured it was over but he lined it right to the 1B who stepped on 1st for the double play. Shame they lost that one, I like the fight they've shown but its going to be for naught. Have to go 7-1 or better now to avoid tying the modern record for most losses and 6-2 or better to avoid breaking the record. I'm very agnostic about the Sox but wouldn't have minded if they got hot and avoided the record.
  8. All I know is that the Cubs "tragic number" is apparently 2 going into today so any combo of Cubs losses and Mets wins eliminates us.
  9. So 79-75 with 8 games left.... 3-5 to finish over .500 for the 2nd year in a row 4-4 to match last year's 83-79 record 5-3 to beat last year's record which would have tied them for a playoff spot last season 6-2 to have a record that would have guaranteed them a playoff spot last season 7-1 is the minimum record needed to make the playoffs if the Mets don't win a game the rest of the season and the Braves only win 1 more game. (yes this is in complete jest no one except Marquee expects them to make the playoffs) Also, all this is a terrible disappointment as a whole.
  10. Hodge making things interesting lately
  11. I like Seiya but he’s generally too passive to be a 3 or 4 hitter
  12. I feel like Counsell keeps bringing in Smyly to blow games to send a message to Jed about how effective it is to get cute when trying to build a bullpen
  13. I pay for cable mainly because I don't feel like figuring out a system of finding stuff, even if its relatively easy one you figure it out. I like knowing that I can throw on the XFinity Stream app when I'm on the go and want to watch a sports game without having to find a stream and worry about ads, etc. I'm sure there's a way to do it easier than that but havent been motivated enough yet to figure it out.
  14. Yeah, anyone married with a wife that uses Amazon is probably a Prime member. I get the point about flipping around on TV and turning on the game vs consciously going out of your way to turn on the game via Amazon. It has always been and will always be the most annoying thing about the trend of moving to streaming services. It's not going to change and will only get worse so we're all just gotta have to get used to it. I usually just follow the score and then turn it on late if its a good game.
  15. They don’t need a major overhaul but they need more than a small tweak. We shouldn’t be trying to build 86 win teams. You need a legitimate middle of the order 6+ win bat and a TOR starter at the very least. That is no small tweak
  16. Meh. Id rather them do this than win like 85 games and have Jed thinking this team just needs a small tweak
  17. Sorry I have to post the final Woj bomb:
  18. They did lose last night but yeah, they're making their 2003 Tigers like run. Just need to go 7-3 to avoid infamy
  19. The Cubs can officially not win 90 games this year, the 6th straight year they’ve failed to do that (5th full season removing 2020). They can still finish with their most wins since 2018 with an 8-3 finish (85-77)
  20. Kind of crazy that Happ might be having the best year of his career
  21. Looks like the QB School's Caleb review for week 2 is under paywall which sucks because unlike Week 1, I actually wanted to watch this one to hear his analysis. Anyone sick enough to pay for it? (Kyle?)
  22. That is cool, though Caleb's body language looks like 'bro I won the Heisman over you 2 years ago"
  23. Obviously it was before the internet we know today but there was internet...here are a bunch of articles about Manning from that time period: https://members.tripod.com/~Peyton_Manning_16/articles.html
  24. Still the only Cub without a hit. Also one just of 3 (w Happ and Nico) to not have 2 hits. And finally one of 2 to reach base less than 2 times (Happ)
  25. Yeah I'm not legitimately concerned but I also havent seen anything particularly impressive so far either. The injury muddies the evaluation that much more, though he wasn't particularly dominating in the preseason/week 1 either. The offense just feels broken right now (shocker right?) and until we figure out how to fix it everyone is going to look terrible.
