    Wait... really? On the road, our D is running on fumes (something like eight injuries assuming Shea doesn't play), and and playing an offense that came up huge in their last outing.. Stacey is going to have a field day against this Bears D on the turf. Hopefully Kellen Clemens is Kellen Clemens and we can stack the box to stop the running game.

    It's not terrible I think. We are 3-4 in the conference. I think SF is 4-4 and Arizona is 3-3

    So if the Panthers lose tomorrow at home against NE (no sure thing) there will be 4 teams tied at 6-4 for the 2 WC spots. Also you cannot count out 5-5 Green Bay considering Rodgers is hoping to play next week and they have an easy schedule the rest of the way. So it's looking like you need 10-6 at minimum to get in (and that might not be enough). (Also I know the Bears are only 1 virtual game behind Detroit for the North and I'm not counting them out there but just looking at the WC here). The Bears have 6 games left, with 4 of them coming on the road. @ STL, @ MIN, vs. DAL, @ CLE, @ PHI, vs. GB To go 4-2, we should probably win 3 of those 4 road games and beat Dallas at home. All 4 of the road games are winnable, but STL is coming off a bye and destroyed the Colts on the road the last time they played. It's always hard to win in the Metrodome but the Vikings look like they've given up on the season. Cleveland is fiesty and has a tough D but should be beatable. Philly looks great right now and I'm worried they will carve up our defense, although we might be a bit healthier by then with Briggs back. If we can't win 3 of the 4 road games, we always have a tough but winnable home game in Week 17 against a GB team that, if Rodgers does come back next week and is back to form, will probably still be alive for a playoff spot.

    I'm gonna get kicked to the curb if this continues. Got waay too excited over this one there's something to be said about winning even though you know the team has no shot of going anywhere because you are so injury depleted. Very 2008ish win today. Why no shot? Briggs should be back, Cutler should be back..we'll have Ratliff who might be something. This is the NFL. There's always a shot if you're in the playoffs. The defense is very average but the offense is really good. I dont know, I guess you are right

    Blah tough loss for UM today. I didn't really expect Michigan to come in to Ames and win (although didnt think it was impossible), but it sucks to see them lead for a lot of the 2nd half and just fall apart down the stretch. Michigan probably has the hardest non-conference schedule in the county this year so hopefully they learn and grow from this tough test. Good to see McGary back and looking good though.

    please god someone provide some logic behind Trestman's clock management there. I really want to like Trestman....but I'm having a hard time right now. And no, 3rd and goal has to be pass because Baltimore doesn;t have TOs left doesn't count.

    OK now we have time for a good kickoff return by Hester and 2-3 plays to get into FG range. WAIT WHAT REGULATION IS OVER?!?!?! WELL AT LEAST WE HAVE 3 TOS LEFT

    there is no way this makes sense at all. best case scenario they kick a FG to send the game into OT (I guess a TO is best case but unlikely)
