    Hawks now 4th in the league in "points per game" Avs 1.75 (144 projected) Ducks 1.63 (134 projected) Blues 1.6 (131 projected) Hawks 1.56 (128 projected) We all know the Ducks are the team that dominates their regular seasons and does nothing in the playoffs. The Avs will come back down the earth. That really leaves the Hawks and Blues....

    Here's where we stand: Every wild card contender except the Packers and 49ers won yesterday (and the 49ers win was damaging because the Panthers beat them, jumping a game ahead of the Bears (with a 6-2 conference record vs. 3-4 by the Bears). In addition, the Lions have a virtual 2 game lead over the Bears for the division with 7 to play. Overall the Bears playoff odds went from 35% to 17% yesterday. If the Bears had won, they'd be at something like 60% odds. That said, the 49ers cast some legit doubt on whether they are locked into a WC spot like many people had assumed. So you are looking at this: 5. Carolina 6-3 (6-2 conference) 6. San Francisco 6-3 (3-2 conference) 7. Arizona 5-4 (4-4 conference) 8. Chicago 5-4 (3-4 conference) 9. Green Bay 5-4 (3-3 conference, loses H2H tiebreaker over Chicago) 10. Philly 5-5 (4-2 conference) So basically 6 teams fighting for 2 spots, all within 1.5 games of each other. Bears unfortunately do not play any of these teams this year besides GB, and if they beat us in Week 17 with Rodgers back, that gets canceled out too. The Bears conference record needs to be improved...they might need to win out (in conference) to have any shot at winning that tiebreaker...unfortunately, this weeks game doesn't help us from that standpoint.

    what is wrong with Turner Field? That's strange...it was built in 1996. I guess the trend of downtown ballparks is over and we're going back to suburban hell.

    Panthers win in SF further damaging the Bears playoff chances. Still a lot of season to play but the bears probably went down about 25-30% odds

    I know Tolzien had decent results (behind a strong running game), but hell, I'd take that guy from Florida over him. Chris Leak? Jesse Palmer

    I think it's a convenient way to save face and pull cutler for ineffectiveness after letting him continue to hobble around in pain the entire second half. Could be wrong of course.

    The Lions have a 2 game lead now with the tiebreaker, it's pretty much over unless the Bears can finish 6-2. Wildcard in play if SF wins Wildcard very much in play. Even with GB, who the Bears have the tiebreaker over. Even if Carolina loses, and they still have NE, NO twice, and the Jets, who are good sometimes. The Bears can take out Arizona and Philly on their own. Bears play St. Louis not arizona

    started out 7-3, 7-1 and 5-3 the last 3 years....probably no playoff games

    As bad as Jay was, unless he was significantly more hurt on that last drive, I don't see any reason why McCown comes in now
