  1. And 1 point behind Anaheim for most points in the league. And we have 2 games in hand.
  2. Does the fact that Florida is paying part of his salary effect the cap hit that the Hawks will have? I would have assumed that you assume the contract and the hit regardless of who is actually paying, but I could be wrong.
  3. If that's true, does this mean ARod is going to get off? Wow that's crazy
  4. At least it will be in the upper 60s
  5. David Stern
  6. Came for Jets/Bills analysis, stayed for awkward sex stories
  7. I don't see the White Sox moving from there any time soon. Have you seen the deal they have with ISFA (owners of the park)? So I don't believe the Sox contributed anything to the building of the park, or the extensive renovations over the last decade and pay only $1.5 mil a year. Just a year or two ago, the ISFA spent $7 million to build a new restaurant attached to the park, and allow the White Sox to keep all the profits from it. The ISFA asked JR for some of the profits, JR said no, and that was that. Meanwhile the Cubs want to spend $500 million of their own money and they have to jump through numerous hoops to make it happen.
  8. Not that it means much but this is a freaking domination
  9. So Azteca is maybe 60% full. Is that particularly unusual for a game of this much importance?
  10. 16mil. wha? $8 mil a year for a 36 year old coming off by far his best season
  11. Whatever as long as he is healthy and playing well in April I don't care about whether he came back last year or this year. Maybe I'll care if we lose a game 7 on the road.
  12. I think they would lose every game on the line of scrimmage. Plus, all those guys are injured so they won't play well. in their current state, I think they might have a shot at beating the Jaguars #jokemadeoneweektoolate
  13. So with Cutler and Tillman now injured, 4 of the Bears 6 highest paid players are missing extended time. Total salary of 34.3M sitting on the bench. And with Peppers being a shell of his former self, the Bears are only really getting above average production out of 1 of their 6 highest paid players (BMarsh)
  14. I just looked up tickets tonight at the UC for Kentucky/MSU and Kansas/Duke on Stubhub...cheapest tickets are $256, yeah no thanks as awesome as it would be
  15. Is the McCown thing speculation or something that was said? Educated speculation if that makes sense Now being reported that he will be out Sunday
  16. I almost lost it when I saw the Infield Fly Zone
  17. I'd say the comps start with Edwin Jackson and go to Bob Gibson Or maybe Kevin Foster up to CC Sabathia
  18. Is the McCown thing speculation or something that was said? Educated speculation if that makes sense
  19. Actually, I thought the D didn't play terribly yesterday. I understand the concern though. Well yeah but they keep losing guys. How the heck are we going to replace Peanut now? Bowman is ok but there will be a big drop off. Asomugha is out there but I'm not sure what kind of fit he is in this system, and hes on the street for a reason.
  20. Posted in other thread but Peanut out for rest of regular season. Placed on IR. Also McCown likely to start Sunday.
  21. Charles Tillman placed on IR. Out for at least 8 weeks
  22. I think that's pretty spot on. I don't think there are any games left on the schedule the Bears are more likely than not to lose, but there aren't any games the Bears are more likely than not to win. vs. Bal - 55/45 @ STL - 50/50 @ Min - 55/45 vs. Dal - 50/50 @ Cle - 55/45 @ Phi - 50/50 vs. GB - 45/55 Something like that
  23. The Saints play the 49ers once, the Panthers twice and the Seahawks on the road, so they are definitely a factor in the WC, despite how unbeatable they can look. It looks like the Bears will need an 11-5 or 10-6 if the two losses are to BAL and CLE. A win this week gives a little bit of a margin of error, but the best hope may be a slide by SF, CAR and/or DET back to 9-7. Right but the Saints are currently 3 games up on the Bears with the H2H tiebreaker, it would be a total collapse for them to fall behind the Bears at this point, and short of an injury to Brees, the Saints are simply too talented for that to happen.
  24. Hawks now 4th in the league in "points per game" Avs 1.75 (144 projected) Ducks 1.63 (134 projected) Blues 1.6 (131 projected) Hawks 1.56 (128 projected) We all know the Ducks are the team that dominates their regular seasons and does nothing in the playoffs. The Avs will come back down the earth. That really leaves the Hawks and Blues....
