  1. Now they are saying it might not be his son but a family member. wtf
  2. This is awful. Absolutely awful. Hopefully if Peterson doesn't already have custody, he gets it because of this.
  3. OK I was curious so I googled worst Bears defeats in memory and found a good list through the 2011 season http://www.chicagonow.com/chicago-tough/2011/12/top-10-toughest-losses-in-chicago-bears-history/ Wow, I'm glad I didn't become a rabid Bears fan until 1994: So Butler misses a 20 yard FG, the Bears score a TD and recover an onside kick and have another 20 yard FG to win it with seconds remaining and...he misses again. That's brutal.
  4. http://hoopshype.com/rumors/tag/nikola_mirotic AKA, the Bulls need to buyout my contract and offer me enough money to leave Real Madrid
  5. Thinking with my heart here probably. Dodgers in 6, Tigers in 6. Dodgers even without Kemp have too much offensive firepower and pitching. If Verlander is pitching as well as he is, along with Scherzer and to a lesser extent Fister and Sanchez, it will be tough for the Red Sox.
  6. Gotta win these road games, only 4 home games left. 6 of the next 9 on the road
  7. Best seat in the house
  8. He's probably pissed off half the guys in the league unfortunately. Although its probably one of those "hate playing against him, love playing with him" things.
  9. Yeah I'm not worried about the offense only scoring 3 points in the second half. They only had one 3 and out all game (technically a 4 and out), and had at least 37 yards on every drive except the first one (that started at the Giants 12), and the last real drive of the game. Their second half possessions: 8 plays, 40 yards FG - The Bears drove down the field with ease until a 2nd and 10 from the Giants 28, when Forte ran for 19 yards down to the 9 but it was called back due to holding which didnt even seem that bad. On 2nd and 20 Cutler overthrew Jeffery and then on 3rd and 20, the Bears played for the FG with a short pass to Bennett. 8 plays, 38 yards, punt - Again the Bears started at their 19 and drove into Giants territory with relative ease. Bears had first and 10 at the Giants 44 about 10 yards from FG range. Cutler had Jeffery open on a deep pass and threw it perfectly but Jeffery sort of stumbled and didn't get to the ball in time. Then an interesting play call to run Bush up the middle for no gain followed by a short pass to Bush that was incomplete forcing the Bears to punt. 9 plays, 36 yards, punt - Bears start at their 18 and drive all the way to the Giants 33 on 9 plays. They have 2nd and 4 and are in FG range when Marshall catches a pass and when stopped about a yard short of the 1st down inexplicably runs backwards and ends up losing a yard instead of gaining 3. Still in FG range on 3rd down when a Giants player runs right up the middle unblocked and forces Cutler to throw the ball towards Forte's feet. The officials sort of blow it (IMO) and call it intentional grounding, backing the Bears up 10 yards and out of FG range, which causes them to punt. 5 plays, 17 yards, punt - Bears start at their 35 with good field position, get to the 46 needing maybe 17 yards for a game clinching FG. Cutler overthrows Jeffery on a deep pass on 1st down, then Forte gets 6 on 2nd down. On 3rd and 4 Cutler for some reason tries a 20 yard pass to Bennett that is incomplete and the Bears punt So the Bears had a probably TD drive turned into a FG because of holding, a FG drive that turned into a punt because of questionable intentional grounding, and some interesting play calls. It's not like the offense was going 3 and out every time. But then again we were playing the Giants.
  10. like said before, 1 game in the next 24 days and its against Washington. If we can get to the bye at 5-2 and then get Paea, Tillman and whoever else healthy, that will be a major boost for this team.
  11. Yeah there was nothing particularly encouraging about this game. The offense looked good but how do you gauge yourself when you are playing against a defense this awful and injury ridden?
  12. Trestman is even worse than Lovie in that regard oh yeah? :)
  13. Falcons 2008 its the only one that comes close....but we looked like [expletive] that whole game and i didnt expect to win until we took the lead. This game was gift wrapped to us and we have to sweat out the last 2 minutes even after that INT. Broncos 2011 OK I forgot about that one, that one would definitely be worse. Even though Jay wasn't playing, which should hypothetically take some of the meaning out of it, the Bears were still very much in the playoff race and there was still hope for Jay to come back by week 17, so it was a desperately needed win and it was botched in the most dumbfoundingly stupid way possible
  14. Giants will probably get it back at around the 30 yard line with 0 TOs and 1:30 left. Good news is they won't be able to run anymore.
  15. Falcons 2008 its the only one that comes close....but we looked like [expletive] that whole game and i didnt expect to win until we took the lead. This game was gift wrapped to us and we have to sweat out the last 2 minutes even after that INT.
  16. If the Bears lose this one, it will be the worst Bears loss since I've been a fan. Easily. Considering how bad the Giants are, how much we were dominating, all the points left on the field because of dumb decisions, washed up RBs barrelling over us, there is just so much to hate here.
  17. We are in huge trouble
  18. This is going to come down to this possession...there isnt much time left...4 down territory time pretty much.
  19. i share your infectious pessimism but Eli Manning has 14 INTs this year, they have at least 1 out.
  20. We just need a FG, no need for the home run ball instead of a wide open Bennett directly in your field of vision, and no need to throw 25 yards down field when you need 4 yards to get a fresh set of downs roughly 5-10 yards away from Gould's range
  21. 5:29 left for the Giants to crush our souls
  22. Jeffery not having the best game tonight Bennett was wide open for a 1st down too
  23. Come on Bears, just need a FG here to likely put this away
  24. Call holding you fucks
