  1. But they won't. Seems like one more year for OP. I hate that this win made me slightly excited for another year with Garrett and Hamilton and hopes of at least competing for an NIT bid. Won't happen. If it was going to happen, it would have been this year with Young and Melvin still around. Despite their flaws, they are eons better than anyone in the pipeline. Unless Garrett somehow becomes a lottery pick next year, DePaul will suck badly again. Mychael Henry should help them out. Yup. They don't have any 4 star players or anything coming in, but hopefully the guys coming in fit OPs system. I'm kind of glad Young is graduating, the dude didn't play a lick of defense from what I saw (which admittedly isn't much, maybe 4-5 games a year). I'm trying to be optimistic here...
  2. It's interesting news. You'd think that the Bucs gave him a more than fair contract offer. It's possible he wants to hear the Bears pitch/offer (as well as other teams) before making a decision. I honestly didn't think TB would let him leave without signing.

  4. Awesome Horrible at identifying the guys in that photo. The only one's I recognize are Cutty, Long and B
  5. Hawks are 10-7-7 in 2014. They were 36-7-5 in 48 games last year.
  6. They'll turn it on in the playoffs right?
  7. Agreed. Especially with 2 days off between games. Really weird time to start him.
  8. And Virginia (?????). Virginia benefitted from one of the most friendly ACC schedules possible to win the ACC. And yet all the computer numbers seem to like them, don't they?
  9. Also, I can't wait to see how the meatballs take this.
  10. Good for him. Will be interesting to see the comparison between how he performed under Trestman and how he performs with Lovie
  11. Not TV so not nearly as important but.... http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/ct-sherman-media-spt-0312-20140312,0,3534242.column More importantly:
  12. One of Fangraphs 10 bold predictions: http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/brad-johnsons-10-bold-predictions/
  13. Raanta starting tomorrow for the Hawks in a pretty big game against Colorado. The Avs are 1 point behind the Hawks for home ice in the first round (if the Blues win the division)
  14. That is horrible. Yeah I'm tired of the Bears drafting being so bad. I think this is a year that will make or break Emery, he's had some meh drafts so far. I'm not saying there havent been some bad misses that make you scratch your head (McClellen, Hardin), but at the very least he's been able to draft 2 Pro Bowlers in 2 drafts (Jeffery, Long), one of them possibly developing into a top 5 player at his position.
  15. I don't know. How much are we talking about for a 30 year old not every down RB? Trestmans offense is made for a RB like Sproles. It might be worth it. I know there are glaring glaring needs on defense but if it's at all possible he'd be the perfect addition to the offense IMO
  16. Fluff but fluffed from the national media instead of just local guys: 10 guys scouts are raving about: http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/the-gms-office/post?id=9021
  17. Someone explain why the Bears would sign someone in the offseason and then a week later cut them....did they need his money for something? Did they find a TE they liked more on the FA market?
  18. I've found it really strange the NCAA is allowing that. If APR is really supposed to be as important as the NCAA says, they should tell the SWAC "tough [expletive], you're having a six-team tournament if you don't get your teams to at least not completely suck in the classroom". Don't you have to have a tournament with at least 8 (presumably eligible) teams to even be granted an automatic bid? I'm guessing they got an exception for a temporary situation like this.
  19. does it really matter? No? Just thought it was a good discussion topic.
