    I wouldn't have been super disappointed at splitting this series before it began but I never imagined that we did split it would be the Kershaw and Greinke games we won. Also, 7 runs in a 4 game series, but we split. Crazy

    Wait I thought Castro's girl was having a kid, what is he doing in the game? Fowler is in now too?

    That is kind of crazy to play most of a game without Soler, Bryant, Fowler, Castro and Montero. That's the 1,3,4,5 and 6 hitters in our preferred lineup.

    Bryant is probably one of the 5 most valuable assets in baseball. If he's getting traded we are going to get a [expletive] load in return

    Yeah but let's see how he finishes the year before we pan him. If he doesn't get it together, well he's had bad years before and has turned it around the next year. True. And I know I'm about to state the obvious but the scary thing is...........we have no choice. I have irrational fears that Jon Lester is mentally rattled. That the big money and the focus on his throwing has gotten him way out of his comfort zone. I think signing someone like Price this offseason would end up taking a lot of the pressure of Lester having to pitch like an ace. Who knows if that's a legit issue he's having but it would at least take that excuse away from him.

    If you talk to Boston that's not exactly a rare FA mistake from Theo. And the fact that his 2 big FA signings with the Cubs are Lester (not willing to give up on the signing but it's trended bad) and Jaxon signals concern.

    Isn't he supposed to be a pitcher that ages gracefully and that's why Theo was willing to sign a big FA over 30?

    Yesssss all my life I've wanted to follow a team that was wildly hated...not because of being assholes but because of winning and people sick of seeing them winning and being awesome. Jordan's Bulls from my understanding were fairly liked by non-Bulls fans. I thought the Blackhawks were going that route too but it seems like this last Cup has brought out a fair amount of hate.

    #5 starters are generally bad. Jason Marquis was the #5 in 2008 when they won 97 games. How many times do we have to go over the fact that 2008 Marquis was not bad. In fact he was almost exactly average I believe. if hendricks is "bad" then 2008 marquis was bad Worse ERA than Marquis in a much worse hitting environment. Hendricks ERA+ was 90 before today, Marquis was at 101. Of course Hendricks FIP suggests that he's been better than his ERA

    Agreed, the Clippers uniforms are awful. I like the new Sixers ones too. Sixers and Bucks are gorgeous. The Bucks new unis are awesome. They should never change them.
