    Bryant is something like 5 for his last 34 with a K rate around 40. Of course he single handedly won a game for us during that stretch so he's still and will forever be awesome.

    Hmm wasn't expecting our first move to be adding salary but trading our 3rd goalie for a young forward isn't a bad move Edit: also certainly a two way contract

    Maddon did fine tonight - the pinch hitters did well, and I thought the bullpen was managed properly. It was his decision last Sunday to let Arrieta finish that may have cost us this game. Right. The reason he was pulled after 99 pitches is because we let him finish in a blowout his last start. That decision to go for statistics helped cost us a win tonight

    Shut up just shut up you just ruined baseball for me you ass I have been just ignoring the Cardinals existence this season. Well, except when we play them, which makes it so much worse. I am just begging the Nationals or Dodgers to catch them so we won't have to play the Cardinals in the Division Series. Playing the Cardinals in the postseason is like my worst nightmare. I wouldn't enjoy one second of it until the final out was made if we somehow managed to end up on the winning side. Yup. Even if the Cubs were up 17-0 in game 3 up 2-0 in the series I would hate every minute until the last out was made and then it would become the best thing ever

    I was against it when the Cardinals of course benefitted from it in the very first season and came within 2 games of a title because of it.

He's like their 10th starter on the organization depth chart just starting out of complete luck. And besides, Ryan O'Malley once happened After beating Grienke and Kershaw, they're probably going to get out of this homestand 3-4 or 2-5. That's...not good. Ok wtf you obviously didn't watch the game otherwise you'd have see the giant arch in the background

    A liner into the corner isn't a fluky double. The rest I can agree with. Although it really wasn't that tough of a play for Russell to make. I didn't actually see the hit, but I was mostly referring to the player that hit it

    It's like every time you convince yourself that it's all just a fluke, confirmation bias, it's not really as it seems, and then you play them again and guys you've never heard of hit HRs and balls go off bases etc and the anger comes rushing back
