In favor of who? Castro? Yeah...you can tell Maddon really doesn't like the defensive alignment considering he replaces Coghlan almost every game in the later innings. As long as Schwarber is providing value with the bat, it makes perfect sense but I could see Maddon going away from it occasionally if Schwarber goes into a deeper adjustment period Really really premature though...its only been like 3-4 games where he's struggled, a blip at this point that could be erased as early as his next PA

If the Cubs play .500 ball the rest of the year they will finish 89-73. That would be tied for their second best record in the last 26 years (I'm counting 1998 as 89-73 with a playoff win because it makes the stat look cooler).

Whereas the chances of winning the division from 8.5 back are large enough to definitely matter? The Blue Jays just erased an 8 game deficit in 2 weeks. Cardinals are better than the Yankees but it can be done Edit: David beat me. But seriously July 29 the Blue jays were in 4th place and 8 GB. Tonight they are 0.5 games up
