  1. [tweet] [/tweet] What in the [expletive]? Did LLF take over Phils Twitter account?
  2. Difference is Sale leads the AL in FIP at 2.51 while Harens FIP is 4.70 (6.01 with the Cubs). It would be difficult to find 2 starters on more opposite ends of the unlucky/lucky spectrum uhhhhh i think rammy knew that My bad I misread that
  3. welp at least we have 2 first round picks next year (white and whatever guy disappoints or gets injured)

  5. As long as we don't get swept by the Giants we should be fine as long as we don't tank. The division has always been a long shot and while I want that game at Wrigley, at the end of the day it doesn't matter a ton. It would be nice if those teams lost occasionally but we technically control our destiny against the Giants and pirates and with 7 games left against them almost control our destiny against the Cardinals although asking them to win out against them is quite a stretch. Just keep winning
  6. Well...went 14-1 and gained just 4 games each on Cardinals and pirates.
  7. If the Cubs play .500 ball the rest of the year, the Nationals would have to go 32-16 to tie the Cubs. And the Mets would have to go on a slightly lesser hot streak to stay ahead of the Cubs and Nationals
  8. The guy who started this thread. Boom
  9. Hit and run hurt us there. Rondon please pretend the bases are loaded right away
  10. Attaboy Castro. I'm not counting on it at this point but could you imagine if we added 2014 Castro to the rest of this lineup?
  11. Wow. If I was an opposing fan Id hate Strop for being so over the top with that reaction. But I'm not so I love it
  12. Soto really loves that "wave your glove around high above the zone and then call for a low pitch" move
  13. 2 hits for Castro today...neither hit that hard but I'll take it
  14. HAHAHA WE GOT ADDISON RUSSELL FOR YOU (AND MCKINNEY)
  15. Coghlan reads NSBB and didn't like us questioning his hitting 3rd in the lineup
  16. Hammel's innings pitched/injury history has been explained multiple times now. Yes it has, but pulling someone after 65 low stress pitches is still odd.
  17. If you think he was bad today because of BABIP I have a bridge to sell you obviously didnt say that, but the grounders that have squeaked through the infield havent helped him Guys who give up contact of any kind have worse luck than guys that miss bats at even an ok rate. I argued with Brett about this the last time Hendricks got his teeth kicked in but he is convinced that K/9 is all that matters when comparing swing and miss stuff with regards to the rest of the league. I get that, but its still bad luck when the BABIP is higher than average, or at least their own average. In another world he pitches the same and those slow grounders go right to defenders. But yeah by virtue of giving up more contact, there will be more overall situations where the ball finds a hole.
  18. I love how when the Cubs go through a stretch of winning games, people get so used to it that trailing by a run in the 4th inning gets everyone angry and wanting blood.
