Just looking at statistics from 2001 and holy [expletive] I forgot how much these stats looked like video game numbers. The stat that really got me was Bonds had an .863 SLG%. Steroids or not how is that even possible. For reference, Rizzo is 6th in baseball with now with a .940 OPS. Bonds SLG% would be higher than any Cubs OPS except Rizzo and Schwarber.
Richard and wood have to be among the better long relievers out there and really lessens the lack of starting pitching depth. If you can go 5 and not completely take us out of the game we have a good shot of winning with our pen
