  1. Also thank you Jake for the only 2 wins on this road trip. Appreciate that.
  2. I think you can call Jake a stopper with that performance. Put the team on his shoulders and won them a game.
  3. Game score of 98 is tied for 2nd best this year
  4. I wish Arrieta was only like 23 so we could watch his entire HOF career. As it is, he will have to be filthy into his mid to late 30's to get consideration.
  5. I don't even know what you are going for here....humor? sarcasm? truth?
  6. Jake's ERA is down to 2.11 2nd lowest in baseball behind only Greinke
  7. THANKS BALTIMORE! HOPE YOU ENJOYED STEVE CLEVENGER AND SCOTT FELDMAN
  8. And more importantly a W to end the road trip, thank god!
  9. dammit I dont want him throwing this many pitches
  10. I was going to say same thing but didn't want to get yelled at. It's a personal accomplishment and would be nice for him. But just give me the win. Why not both? That's the beauty of no hitters. Tell that to Ken Johnson. I knew someone was going to mention that. 99.99% of no hitters
  11. I'm sure a cursory glance at stats would tell me I'm wrong, but it feels like it's been a long long time since we were good at hitting with RISP. 2008 was certainly the last and probably only year I've ever felt confident in that spot over a whole season. The first 3 weeks of August I'd bet we hit well...I thought maybe we turned the corner

  13. If the gods must have us give up a hit, make it with 2 outs please
  14. That's 0-18 with RISP this series now for the Cubs.
  15. Yup, of course Starlins 3 hits come with no one on base, and his 2 outs come with a combined 4 baserunners on
  16. It wasn't a strike. It would've either been a whiff or weak contact. Gotta trust the umpire to not miss the call. The reason I said that is because he struck out looking on a pitch that was even more outside in his last AB.
  17. OK Starlin, another chance. Please don't go 3-3 when there's no one in scoring position and 0-2 with a DP when there is.
  18. You gotta swing at that Bryant How many innings have we gotten someone on base? 7 out of 9? And only one of those times they score.
