It's a great game plan. All the runs shorten the game. I guess the less the packers possess the ball the better right? 3 first half possessions (not including kneel) and they scored twice and both sort of quickly.

Yes tell them to make sure every pitch is 98 mph perfectly painted on the corner with late movement. If they don't comply 100% of the time, DFA them. Any failure is inexcusable if the club is to reach their stated goal which is 162-0 -

I would much rather play the Cardinals. If we win we kill any sort of "fear" of playing the Cardinals for the entirety of this run with the current core. If we lose, at least it's in 1 game and not some agonizingly frustrsting 3-5 games. And then you go into the actual match ups and I think the Cubs have a better chance of winning against St Louis. Plus Matheny would find some way to [expletive] over the Cardinals. But let's just win the division so we let the other two worry about it -

could conceivably be 4.5 games out by the time we hit the pillow tonight, so that'd be fun Man it would be so awesome to be within 5 games when we play them next weekend because I think we will sweep them

Looks like Cardinals/Reds was suspended in the 8th inning tied at 2 and will be resumed tomorrow. Cubs can pull within 6 games tonight. -

Of course. The 10 year old in all of us wants pretty counting stats like RBIs and Wins. It's not a problem until you start using those counting stats to evaluate players

So last week Fowler goes 0-4 with 4 Ks. Next game his first 2 ABs were a HR and 2B. Wednesday Schwarber goes 0-4 with 4 K. Next game first 2 ABs are HRs. Lesson? Unless the division is on the line, in the last game of the season everyone purposely strike out every AB.
