    Man, that's going to throw things way off this year. I'm sure the committee will take into account the Illini's variety of injuries, suspensions and dismissals and gift them an at-large bid.

    If Iowa somehow loses against Indiana and Michigan...high level compare their resume w Michigans Iowa - 20-10 (11-7) Top 50 wins over Wichita St, MSU, Purdue, @ MSU, @ Purdue Michigan - 21-10 (11-7) Top 50 wins over Texas, Maryland, Purdue, Iowa Iowa's resume is still better, but it's a lot closer than you'd think (and of course this is presuming 2 more losses for Iowa which is still a big stretch)

    So even up until last season I would always see fans of opposing teams (except like Stl and Det) say things like "the Hawks are so damn good but they are hard to hate". With the 3rd Cup, one of our 2 best players being investigated for rape, combined with the the team still being a cup favorite, salary cap be dammed, I see a breaking point hit and now whenever I read an opposing blog or Twitter all I see is people saying how much they hate the Hawks. Other than the Kane situation which is still rough for me to reconcile, I completely embrace the hatred and love that we are the team other fans dream at night about beating.

    This has been an entertaining game so far. For "4 cups in 7 years" sake I'd rather see someone shittier but for pure entertainment sake a Caps/Hawks SCF would be awesome.

    The Warriors and especially Curry are not playing the same sport as the rest of the league. Watching part of the Bulls game tonight and this is like watching a high school game and then a pro game.

    Bob Mckenzie is reporting that a Scuderi for Christian Ehrhoff deal likely to occur with the Kings. I thought he was decent? Must not be if a fellow conference contender is trading him, and the return is Scuderi

    Good but all it really means is that we won't be losing Alshon for nothing right? They could still trade him, or of course come to a long term agreement.

    From Roch's article (columnist in Baltimore): lmao people are so pissed because the Cubs are awesome. Also, I know typical Chicago sports radio drivel, but I heard multiple people on the score speculate that the Cubs might end up being accused of tampering and losing draft picks. I'm pretty sure that until a FA has signed on the dotted line, clubs are able to freely speak with and negotiate with a FA. Idiots.

    He also said 10 years when talking about that. yes yes i know. I don't think the point was an arbitrary 10 years. He walked out of Boston in a gorilla suit after 5 years with the Sox (or was it 4) before being talked back into being GM. Anyways, I'm just being my normal worry wart, but I agree with everyone that said that if the end result is a World Series victory, I would be ecstatic although it would of course suck to lose Theo.

    well i ended up biting the bullet and picked up 2 tickets to 4/13 against the Reds. I know its not as sexy as some of you will post, and quite pathetic compared to my output 6-7 years ago, but I'm happy.

    Marginally sports related, but for the umteenth time the Tribune is changing their web model I got this email from them: So basically you won't be able to use the workaround where you google the name of the article and click the google news link anymore. Previously, people who found Trib articles through search engines could view for free. Now everyone who visits the site from any source will get 10 free articles to read per month. I'm guessing clearing your cookies will reset the 10 article limit.

    I have like no money due to the birth of twins, so I am dreading knowing that in about an hour any game i want to go to will have to be bought at a premium because i cannot afford to purchase right now. Was thinking of possibly purchasing some of those super cheap April games.

    I know they are just in coast to playoffs mode but 6-8-1 since their winning streak ended. Hopefully Ladd will give us a boost as I want to have as much home ice as possible.
