  2. Strand 500 runners, pen blows it. That's like the Cubs teams of the past 100 years. Damn
  3. Yeah especially because Crap Bag is in his place
  4. We are one game removed from having 8 scoreless innings from our pen you boob
  5. Who cares? Just interesting to see a team score 2 runs that were all put on base and scored via walks and no other method
  6. Geez. White Sox score 2 runs in an inning off of 5 walks
  7. This is strange but I read something today about how a potential reason Bryant's K rate has gone down is that he's focusing on lowering his launch angle, meaning less of an upper cut swing. I wonder if this is a team wide concept they focused on in the spring. I'm not sure if team wide Ks are down but the Cubs offense has been horsefeathering awesome despite being middle of the pack in dongs.
  8. Things are going so well right now that I'm genuinely shocked when one of our pitchers gives up a HR
  9. I don't like when people horsefeathers with run differential
  10. This is odd, even for Dusty: [tweet] [/tweet]
  11. all the weather reports I've seen suggest the rain stopping sometime between 7-8pm. The Cubs will likely do everything possible to play this one, as they already have 3 home makeups on the schedule.
  12. He won't be laughing when it costs him millions in arbitration
  13. Damn. Cubs and Padres have a common off day next Monday with the Padres playing in Milwaukee on Sunday and the Cubs at home. On Tuesday the Cubs would go to Milwaukee and the Padres back to SD. If it was a 1:20 start it would be plenty of time for the Padres to get home and play a 9:00 start the next night. Now we will be off Monday, Thursday and next Monday. 2nd time in 3 weeks that we will have 3 off days in an 8 day span. Thanks Chicago weather
  14. Forecast took a turn for the worse it looks like. I can't see this one starting. This would be 3 rainouts in the last 10 scheduled home games.
  15. I had no idea Weeks was still a thing.
  16. i find the whole over-the-top camo oo-rah thing really distasteful so thats what I marshal when I want to dislike them for something I know this has nothing to do about their fans but I hate the franchise because of 1984 alone even though I was too young. Hate how one of the only successes in their entire franchise history was at our expense. Also they lost playoff series to the Cardinals twice in the 00's including the year their 83 win POS team won the world series
  17. Not to dwell on the negative, but with the Cubs, you can actually see their six losses easily. But it's only because they stick out on an amazing upward trend. I LOVE THIS TEAM!!! You can also see when they play the Reds
  18. If Schwarber can bounce like that right now he can just DH for us in AL Parks and pinch hit right now! I know its extremely doubtful but I'd love him somehow to make it on the playoff roster. Wasn't Adrian Peterson playing in the NFL 7 months after his torn ACL and dominating? Yes but the Cubs are not going to risk rushing back a 23 year old, make him play OF (or catcher) 7 months after tearing his ACL and UCL for a team that is likely to win over 100 games without him. Even if he just PH's, it would be completely unlike the Cubs FO to gamble like that. Plus baseball hitters typically need to get ABs and swings in to get their timing back and get in a rhythm. Bringing back a cold Schwarber into a playoff game would be a huge risk.
