Yeah since they started out 24-6 they've gone 23-17 which is a 93 win pace. I'm fine with them playing at that pace the rest of the year but obviously I strive for and think they are capable of better. We will take our lumps while we have all these injuries but the upside is we are breaking in some talented players that will be valuable for us when we are back at full strength. All things you can live with when you build up a huge lead.
I had a Rose jersey and a Noah jersey. Now I have nothing, but honestly there's no current Bull whose jersey or shirsey i really want. Maybe Jimmy I guess.
Schwarber goes down, we have Soler Soler goes down, we (indirectly) have Javy Dex goes down, we have Almora Miggy goes down, we have Contreras Yes not all of them are upgrades or equivalents but they aren't replacement level garbage either.
hahaha you're back! please stay forever Hey Dave. It seems like the forum has much less participation. The Cubs are winning like a mother...what gives? We kicked out all the idiots. Well most of them at least.
Also this will likely continue the trend of the Cubs losing the last game of every homestand this season. The only reason I notice is because they always have their road trip theme planned, and then everyone on twitter flips out that they are having fun after a loss.
Posted earlier He has gone 6 or less in 6 of his last 11 starts. In the 11 before that he went 7 in 10 of them. As long as he's not injured I think he will figure it out again, and I mean 5 innings of 0 or 1 ER is still pretty impressive. Yes, hopefully he figures out his command because I don't like the Rich Harden version of Arrieta. Damn that is a near perfect comp, bravo.

I was going to say 'maybe going on the road is just what this team needs to get going again' But then I realized that i said 'maybe some home cooking is just what this team needs' at the end of the last road trip. Team is in a bit of a funk. A funk that all teams go through and honestly nothing to be overly concerned about (except Jake), but still sucks nonetheless
At the end of the day its just 3 games in June. If they can't come back they are still 9.5 up, and if a "bad stretch" is 8-8 over 16 games, we're fine.
Well this has not been a good week for the Cubs so far :( Hopefully the bats can wake up and our middle relief can hold them. The most important thing is Jake still not looking like himself
Is Jake going to make it through 5 today? 83 pitches through 3.1 IP. In his last 11 starts he went more than 6 innings only 5 times. In his 11 starts prior to that he went 7 innings 10 times, and the one time he didn't it was his last start of the regular season and was on a pitch count limit, and still went 6.
fwiw 2015-16 PER Robin Lopez - 17.66 Derrick Rose - 13.52 You are right I jumped the gun he is a solid player, but I was more hoping for draft picks and/or cap flexibility.
Of course it will. Just not nearly as often as it would burn pretty much any other pitcher. Trust me I get it and this is honestly just a byproduct of God Mode Jake from last June through the Wild Card Game. It's that and the looming issue of having to listen to Coomer soon. I'm not arguing with you, I have the same feeling even though the logical part of my brain tells me otherwise.
